Alaria is a large, severe world circling a three star cluster where humanoid life in another form has thrived. The beings of this world struggled against its dangerous biomes, climates, fauna, and flora. If the world's dangers were not enough, the various Alarian nations that arose saw conquest of all things as their prime initiative. Combat and War became the sole purpose to society, and as such Alarians focused their growth and breeding to create future Warriors to conquer all foes. More on this in the history, but this is to say that Raxor is rather just above average but Alarian standards for his size. As many of the Oblito Vastitas Tribus (Blinding Wastes Tribe), Raxor has deep tan skin, leather like in texture and toughness, with stark silver hair and red-gold eyes. He is a finely tuned warring machine, powerful in all senses. He possesses a squarish jaw, containing the mouthful of canines that lead to the pointed nose. For distinguishing marks, there are the normal bodily scars of growing up on Alaria, especially the Wastes, a vertical on the right side of his face by his eyes stands out as well as the creed of the Ater Equitum that is burned to Raxor's back in ink from red venom sand. Translated (note Craft speaks specifically to the growth of martial prowess) "In Darkness, I bring the Light of the Three I shall be the Beacon. My Craft Eternal. In War, I shall have no mercy. I shall be the Victor. No Fear shall Corrupt. In Death, I stand. I hold. Glory to the Imperium" Personality: In a word, dour. Many who progress themselves to the higher orders of soldier within the Imperium Militaris are afflicted with the outcome of such personalities. Their training so rigorous in honing their martial capabilities that often other facets of their personalities are drown out. Well oiled and organized machines for the sole purpose of fighting and winning wars. Honor is a vital virtue in Alarian society, to the point that lying or breaking one's word is considered an ostrasizable offense. For his merits, Raxor has been a rare dry wit, as many Alarians soldiers, but a strong distaste for foolery. He also enjoys the quiet of nature. Skills: As many Equitum, Raxor has gone through the higher levels of training. Extreme survival training in all conditions, hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, marksmanship, and all manner of tactics. In addition, all Equitum learn how to maintain and, if necessary, craft their own weapons and ammunition. This includes blacksmithing, electric engineering, gunsmithing, etc. In short, an Equitum must be able to conquer a primitive world, meaning less advanced such as Terra and no matter how large, on their own. Gear: Armatus - Every Equitum as their final test must craft their Armatus. The Armatus is the large mechanical armor they wear, often detailed with the markings of their order. The armor is made from a super heavy and hard metal alloy native to Alaria, Noxchalybs, that is extremely resistant to most projectiles and heat. Raxor also carries a shield of this same metal. The internal mechanics respond to the wearers movements to join in time. It also contains support systems for usage in the depths of space, underwater, and medical system in case of injury to dull pain and insure the wearer fights on to the end. Ingensis - The large Diamonite plasma-edged sword of many Ater Equitum measuring five and a half feet with a four foot blade in Terran measuring. Fulmenarcus - Large sidearm bolt pistol. This large gun fire 3 inch long 1/2 diameter projectiles at semi-auto and automatic rates. The bolts are made of alloy from elements known on Terra as Osmium and Neptunium. Abilities/Powers: Alarian Physiology - As discussed, Alaria is a hostile world to all manner of living creature, truly only the strong survive and the strongest thrive. This combined with Alarian thirst for battle and selective breeding practices has made the Alarians a race of physical domination, with mental acuity to boot. All Alarians have hard calcified talons at the ends of their fingers in addition to the leather hard skin that encases them. The species possess two hearts, three lungs, and two stomachs. For Alarians in many cases, breathing is a luxury. Young Alarians should be able to hold their breath for the entirety of a hand-to-hand fight with a Ostium Lupus, which fox like creature the release poisons dander from it's fur, adults of which are the size of a full grown Alarian. The second stomach is actually storative. The body naturally hides extra nutrients away for later use. This allows for Alarians to gorge themselves before week long battles without hunger. However, the purer bloods of the Nine Nations have unique subsets. Oblito Vastitas Genome - Alarians purer of the Blinding wastes have three unique adaptations. First is an additional organ that stores water, the wastes are very dry and water a scarcity. The second is a second, transparent eyelid that blocks high light levels and UV. This allows them to see perfectly in all high levels of light. The third is the vastly superior sense of smell as food can be hard to come by. History: The history of Alaria is long. Alarian civilization has existed for tens of thousands of years. Nearly five thousand years past, the wars of the Alarians nearly destroyed their planet. In a brief moment, Sanctus Augustus brought the leaders of the nine remaining nations together. He suggested peace and unity as the universe beyond Alarian skies often bounties. Not only in resources but in potential glorious battle, but how would the Alarians unite? The great Sanctus Augustus came forward the Proelium Ludus. Each nation would pick its Champions, a Primus and Secondus, who would battle champions from the others in both physical mental contests, including combat. The final victor would be Emperor until his death, upon which new games would be held. Each nation would hold similar internal games in order to pick their leaders as well. Thus the Novus Alaria Imperium began with Sanctus Augustus the first Emperor. Many years of conquest has seen the Imperium grow. Society amongst the Alarians is stratified by honor, men and women equal in their duty. Breeding is a duty as the empire requires Alarians for it's strength. Subjugated races are treated on the basis of their submission, those who resist and fight on with honor are made Residentus for their honor to combat. They have middling status and may join the Militia forces. Those who acquiesce to the rule of the Alarians are made Servitus. Honor drives society, lying is legal matters is a death sentence. In order to reclaim honor for a dishonor, or claim glory for your family name, an Alarian may go on Odyssey. In this, the Alarian must return after bloody conquest of at least one world of a civilization. This world is presented as a prize to the Emperor. Raxor grew up in an upper house of the Oblito Vastitas Tribus. Their fame from having several Secondi over previous generations. Inlcuding the Secondus to Emperor Cotrum Inmussilus just over two thousand years ago. The middle of his Nidi of seven. Raxor dedicated himself to joining the elite order of the Ater Equitum, which he successfully accomplished 24 years prior.
