[/b] Shaolin's combat ability is fair. While she's not the most intuitive as far as reading people's moves go, she on the other hand has a large inventory of moves she can preform. There's a certain grace to her form that mostly stems from her gymnastics skills, and while her lessons in the martial arts have been brief, Shaolin has still retained a few tricks. It does not make her the best, but has made her capable of putting up a fight at the very least.
Her flexibility shatters most boundaries, and her short size makes her a more difficult target (depending on your height of course).
Shaolin may be small, but she still relies a lot on brute force. Her speed and strength tend to be rather balanced, which means she doesn't prefer one over the other yet. Being in great shape also allows her to last long in battle without breaking much of a sweat, and she can take a hit like a man.
Weaknesses: Being balanced in both speed and strength often means that Shaolin is more likely to be outrun or overpowered by those who specialize in one of the two. This doesn't give her much of an advantage over others. With so little experience, Shaolin isn't adept in reading people's moves and will more often than not take a hit, or try to block it instead of dodge, and then counter. This means she's prone to taking more damage than is necessary of her. Depending on the type of damage, it is a very dangerous tactic.
Being small means that she must be wary of the reach advantage most of her opponents have over her.
Due to her temper issues, Shaolin's fighting when in a burst of rage, is very straightforward. She uses moves that are easy enough to read but with much aggression. Being easy to read means she can be easily stopped if someone knows what they are doing.
Strengths: Shaolin has an impressive amount of pain tolerance. This is mostly due to her time doing gymnastics (and where falling-- often from high places-- in awkward positions isn't all that rare). She's also got a good amount of stamina and doesn't tire out all too easily.
While being balanced in strength and speed have their weaknesses, there's also the strengths that come with. While larger opponents will out-match her in strength, Shaolin can easily make herself more speed-based. On the other and, if someone is faster, she'll focus more on her stamina and strength to try and catch her opponents and try to impair them somehow.
When not overly frustrated, Shaolin can keep a cool head in battle. She doesn't really fall victim to threats, such as the lives of her friend. In fact, no matter how much she loves her friends, Shaolin aims for her own well-being first and will not feel too much guilt in sacrificing the well-being of another.[/ul]
