Mike is sitting in the library with a bunch of old Paradigm year books open. He is just thumbing through them casually, looking at all of the faces and the powers they had.
Having spent the previous day playing Baseball and getting in trouble with that Eric guy, Emery has decided that today he should actually knuckle down and get some work done. His first day classes had all been unfortunately void of homework, so he figured he may as well go and read ahead some while he had the chance.
Spotting Mike, one of the guys he had played baseball with yesterday, huddled over a bunch of old books in a corner, Emery takes his own books and plops down in the seat opposite him. "Hey, you don't mind sharing a table do you?"
Giving herself a more thorough tour of Paradigm seemed like a good idea, especially if it meant finding somewhere quieter than the spots she kept finding. Naturally, this meant the library.
Her mental wanderings forgotten, Rebecca looked over ot the voices nearby. She recognized Mike, but the other boy was still new to her. She recalled him with their shopping group - one of Eric's friends.
"Oh. Hey guys." She raied her hand slightly in greeting.
Emery nods at the new arrival, before pulling open one of the books he brought with him and burying his nose inside. Hey, reading might be anti-social but it is a library.
Emery is pretty sure he knows this girl from somewhere, but isn't quite sure. Maybe he is one of the ones that Eric dragged him along with.
"Hey, I'm Emery," he says, giving her an appraising look, "I swear I know you, but I don't think we've talked yet."
Rebecca smiles back at Mike and nods. "Dong okay. Getting used to this place. You?" Emery distracts her; she turns her head in his direction and nods, keeping her distance.
"Yes. You're..." her brows knit together for a moment, "one of Eric's friends, right?"
"Yeah, we met playing Baseball the other day. It was pretty fun. The pitcher didn't really play too fair, but it's all good. We did agree to use our powers after all."
So he couldn't fault him too much for it. Even if it was a bit unsportsmanlike.
Emery doesn't really know a lot about the Paradigm agents, he only really knows that they're an organisation that helps fight the bad guys. Most of the time.
"Not a one of them. But it's still interesting. Paradigm is a big part of Metahuman history. I think it is kind of cool to see what they were like back then."
