Yes Silas, Rebecca is aware of your muscles and ease of the situation. She doesn't seem impressed though, eyes narrowing as he takes a step back. It feels very much a game of cat and mouse.
"I doubt you 'maybe' on anything." Testing this theory, she takes a step forward.
He doesn't reply verbally, just levels his gaze again like she should know. This brings their faces very close together as she looks up at him and he looks down at her.
It's a very tense and awkward moment that only gets more so the longer they stay that way. She holds out a hand to him, her voice even.
"Gloves, please." She'll be sure to inspect the for any signs of tampering or anything else that may seem out of the ordinary, as their relationship is one built on trust.
She steps back a couple of paces from Silas once he drops the gloves into her hand, checking to see if she can put them on over her current pair of gloves, or if those have to come off first.
She doesn't trust Silas not to help her "lose" a glove tonight, so she risks it, testing the fit with one hand, first, and making sure she can pull it back out again.
She decides to take her gloves off in the end, since the material is fake. Once the glove is off, she sets it aside so it's not in the way, not looking at Silas but still carrying a small frown.
"A new kid in town made it his personal mission to make me miserable." She shrugged, ignoring the parallel as she removed the other glove. She was supposed to be comfortable with this, right? If nothing else, she'd managed without them before until she could get to a set of spares.
"He decided I couldn't hit him or stand up for myself because I was a girl, and girls couldn't hit." The other boxing glove comes on as she faces Silas.
"We were brats." She shrugs, a tiny smirk on her face.
"Good. Letting me win would be cheating, anyway." She falls into a basic boxing stance. It's not terrible, but it's clear she's not physical, like they have both said. In terms of skill, hers is laughable compared to Silas.
Her eyes narrow further, but she takes a step forward. There is no way Silas's ego will let her just take a hit, not unless he can find something at her expense in the process.
She takes another step forward, still expecting him to not make this easy and probably throw a punch her way when she does the same, especially after the talk she just gave.
