Name: Maxwell Cain Corletts

Nickname(s): 'Cain' 'Max' 'Maxey' 'Corvus'

Status: Trainee

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Nationality: American

Ethnicity: Pale Irish

Height: 6'5"

Weight: 138lbs

Religious Beliefs: None

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Appearance: Maxwell always wears a smooth White pea coat. with blue trim. This added to his height and lankiness gives the impression of a living birch-tree. He was born Brown haired with hazel eyes, but by the age of three they lightened. Today he has piercing blue eyes and white hair.
Personality: Maxwell is very kind, but distances himself from others. He wants to be helpful, but hates attention. In general, he acts selflessly from the shadows. It's hard to get him out of his shell. He will constantly draw attention off himself once put on him. If a person was to actually get close to him, he would do anything for them; even die. He would danger himself with his loyalty. That's how he is today. In his past, Max was very different, and he constantly tries to change his ways.

Interests: Maxwell writes and sketches. Not out of talent, but more as a necessity. He uses it to escape himself. Maxwell also takes interest in science and engineering. He studied in his free time for a large part of his life.

Skills: Max has skills he didn't necessarily want. From a rough upbringing, he became adept at fighting, running, stealing, picking locks. The usual hoodlum skills. Today he refuses to put them to use unless completely required. They reside in the back of his head where he pushes them down, hoping they'd disappear and he could forget.

Abilities/Powers: Maxwell was affected directly by the incident in his appearance and mind, but the effects were mundane. Only when coupled with a sentient book that refers to itself as "The Index" he became what he is today. The Index has a direct effect on anything indirect, or unobserved. The best way to put this is "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to see it, the Index decides." Any break in visual observation becomes a gate that can be used to pass objects, or travel. This includes himself, meaning Maxwell must close his eyes and/or be unable to see either end. An example would be if Max made a sudden turn around a corner while being chased, and no one could see into where he turned, he could come out any other unobserved "gate" he can conceive. The key is that he must know where. Max can't pull or push things from anywhere, he must have a known target. This leads us onto Max's actual developed ability, which is more or less a talent many people have; a near perfect memory. This has two parts. A.) he can remember anything and everything he has heard, seen, felt, etc. and B.) Maxwell can spatially visualize markers and overall drawings that have no effect on the actual world. If he wanted to picture the words "Bad Food" floating in the air next to an awful restaurant, they could stay there every time he looked. His subconscious often makes small cues around him throughout the day such as "Mustard Stain" on a passing mans tie or "Possible Prostitute" next to a less than desirable person standing under a lamppost.

Example of all combined: "Maxwell stepped into his closet, while stepping out of the empty alley two blocks from his house. Just as he arrived to the sidewalk, a large gruff man with a sweaty wife-beater walked into him. Max saw 'Danger!' and 'Possibly Drunk' hovering around the mans head. He quickly apologized and continued his journey to pick up lunch down the street."
That's it. Kinda basic and straightforward. Basically he sees the world as a big sketchbook, and he can flip the pages to get around.

History: Maxwell grew up with two younger brothers in a broken household. One had run away at the age of six, and the other eventually lived with family in Ireland, leaving Max alone with the abusive parents. As max grew up, he began a path in the wrong kind of life. He saw things differently, noticed things people didn't. He used it for himself. Max would take note of the little words he saw like "He entered 6314 as the password" to get an unfair upper hand. He began stealing, fighting, and breaking in to houses. He earned himself a street name that actually put fear into people; Crow, or "Coruvs". He earned that name at fourteen, and lost it at fifteen when he found something new in his life, a book. He found the Index in an old man's pawn shop he broke into at night. He took it only for the expensive price tag on its display; $633. That night it spoke to him. It suddenly knew him better than himself. Maxwell was an open book to The Index. It offered him a chance to take new paths, and to observe a new way of life. Maxwell took that chance by applying To Paradigm academy.

Hey there! So a couple of small issues before you are good to go.

We'd like to point out that the perfect memory counts as a super power (and is also being used by a PC as their power) so it would be unfair to give it to you without it counting as a power.

We'd like you to simplify how "the index" works because right now it feels kind of unclear. Me and a few of the staff think we understand how you want it to work but we are not 100% sure, which makes it hard to judge.

I'd also like to remind you that sentient powers have their own agendas and personalities so if you plan to keep it in it's book form it will be GMed by the staff.

Also since Sentient Powers don't have names unless given them I'd love for you to go into a bit more detail on The Index since it is obviously a very important part of the bio so I'd like a little more background if you plan to keep it unmerged.
