(Fun written description instead of just a playby to come later)

Personality: Martin is no longer afraid of his own powers, but he is caught between pragmatism taught by long years of experience as an agent and the remaining traces of the idealistic teenager he used to be, who just wanted to be a hero. He’s more confident and take-charge than he once was, having grown a backbone by necessity in all his years with Paradigm, but off duty is still fairly quiet, never having been a particularly extroverted person by nature. He plays his cards close to his chest, partly because he has never liked talking about himself, but is still friendly and genuinely enjoys helping people. While he still has a cynical edge, he tries his best to keep his old temper on a short leash, having seen what can happen when he lashes out in anger, and has a carefully practised calm demeanour, another product of his training; he has gained enough control over his telekinesis that it won’t react to every stray thought or feeling, and requires conscious intent to be used, but he still worries about lapses of control. Going with the flow, in life and with his power, helps his abilities be more effective, and more easily kept in line.

He has had blood on his hands before, and makes an earnest effort to avoid killing again; although sometimes that kind of force is necessary, he feels telekinesis is a versatile enough ability that he almost never has to kill, even if, sometimes, there’s a very rare person who simply has to die for the good of everyone else. It has eased up in the time that has passed, but he still carries the trauma from Rath’s attack on Chicago and his own near death experience; he wouldn’t call it outright PTSD, but he’s still evidently bothered by the memories from time to time, and doesn’t bother hiding his bitterness towards the people who were involved in it. Since the main party responsible for the attack seems to be dead, Martin is no longer as driven for revenge, and would describe his feelings on the whole affair as a sort of hollowness. For the most part, it has increased his determination to never, ever allow anything like that to happen to anyone else.

He’s also still a shameless movie buff and a little bit of a geek overall, though he doesn’t enjoy comic books or superhero media, seeing it as far too close to home. Get him talking about old school movies or baseball or one of his other interests, though, and you’ll probably be in for a lot of words.

Abilities/Powers: Telekinesis - Martin considers it arrogant to describe himself as having “mastered” his telekinetic powers, but so many long years of hard training and real-world experience have made him very, very powerful. He already had the potential for great strength when his telekinesis first developed, and has worked hard to improve both his raw power and his control over his abilities. What he’s capable of doing when he goes all out, and what he’s willing to do when he doesn’t have to go all out, are often different things; he is well aware that a lapse of control on his part can result in catastrophic damage and/or loss of innocent life, and keeps a lid on the upper limits of his power until it’s necessary to bring out the big guns.

History: Martin’s powers manifested in his sophomore year of high school, when he accidentally blasted some seniors through a wall. He was enlisted by Paradigm and given training, but picked one hell of a time to join the Academy, as not long later Rath attacked Chicago, spearheaded by Winston Evermore. Martin nearly died in the incident, and it was a long time before he returned to duty, but eventually he did, and for a time he was fixated on revenge. Eventually, with the help of his training with fellow agent - and future Miami director - Steve Harris, Martin was able to overcome this, and over the long years since he has done his best to become stronger, be in better control of himself and his abilities, and be the hero he has the potential to be. This seems to have worked out pretty well, as he is now a senior agent with Paradigm and has been trusted with a number of dangerous missions.

He has also lived to see the Cubs win a World Series, so that’s a plus.

Hey! For the most part it looks good but I know Tyler wasn't too keen on Martin having Telekinesis and Tactile Telekinesis since they are two different powers. So if you can drop me a line when that is edited I'll take another look. :)

I've changed up the wording - it seemed like a possible application for a telekinetic, to me, but I've made it clearer as an application of his own power instead of just yanking a different one.
