Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as she'd thought. Rebecca's eyes light up at both declarations, looking from one to another that says she approved without saying a word.
"Cool." She raised her gloved hands. "Death touch." Okay, maybe over-simplified, but she was feeling good at the moment.
Okay, that was not what she expected at all. Blinking, Rebecca finds she's giving them a small, shy smile and nods.
"Yeah. I can make anything organic decay, so plants, animals, natural elements...and people. How fast depends on what it is, mostly. If it's complex, it takes longer, so it's sort of like a drain."
"O....kay." It feels like she's just walked into bizarro-world. Here were two people, completely enthusiastic about her power and wanting a demonstration of all things! And they looked like they were sugar coated cupcakes! Eyeing the pair warily, Rebecca takes a step towards them, trying to find a way to give herself space. At least she wasn't up against the door anymore.
She peels back the sleeve of her shirt this time, taking the paper from Enya and touching it to her bare skin, letting them see the results while feeling like a monkey in a cage.
That's a mix of new and what she's used to, but at least Eric's not running for the hills or calling to burn her at the stake. Nodding, she looks around for a broom and moves her sleeve back into place.
"It can be, yeah, but it can also be a huge pain." She looks to Eric at her next part. "Unfortunately." She lets her smile appear again, focusing on their own powers instead and brushign it off like it's nothing.
"But you said poison and magic. These, I have to see."
She tenses despite his warning, but at least he knew not to touch her. Still, a flinch flickered across her face, but she held perfectly still rather than pull back.
She's watching him closely, but talking to Enya. "That's cool. Anything that comes up isn't going to taste worse than when it went down."
He tries to block Enya's vision. But if she peers around and looks carefully she can see what appears to be a small tear in reality or space open up behind Rebecca. Eric's hand reaches in and pulls out a Steel Rose. The portal closed the moment his hand was clear.
"A pale comparison to your loveliness, but it will never wilt."
She's not entirely sure what to expect, bu the rose definitely wasn't it. She blinks in surprise, but Eric's efforts are rewarded by that same small smile that's more genuine than polite.
"Thank you." She accepts the trinket, as mindful of her actions as Eric probably is, and admires it. A million questions come to mind. "So how does it work?"
