Jack moves his feet off his desk, feeling like he got caught doing something as he stuffs the razors he'd been spinning on his fingers into his pockets.
She laughed, giving a shake of her head. "I just cleaned that, you know," she teased.
Approaching him, she held her file against her chest. "I actually just had a few questions if you don't mind, Sir. They have to do with an investigation I am a part of."
"This man was wrongly accused, imprisoned, and experimented on. He was given meta human powers and is now in our holding cell. He's innocent and I want to prove it."
There was strength in her voice as she spoke, but her smile was still beautiful upon her lips.
"I needed to talk to you about two things. I am going to prove his innocence. But afterwards, he won't have anywhere to go. He doesn't know how to control his power. He would really benefit from Paradigm training."
"Yes, Sir. I've been doing as much research as I can and I feel I have an extremely strong appeals case. My mother is a lawyer and I feel like she would work on this case if I asked."
"Jordan also had a request," she said, continuing on. She didn't want to focus too much on either of the things she had to talk to him about. "He wants me to talk to his family. He wrote them a letter and everything, and I'd like to bring it to them, personally. I would like to assure his family that Paradigm is working on this mission and that the Cravens family is working on his case. Would that be alright, Director?"
She appraised his desk for a moment before laughing. She didn't even want to think about the old desk. It probably would have broken underneath the mountain of paperwork.
"Oh! That reminds me. I was going to leave this, here. Agents Murdoch, Clyde, and Angel went on a mission related to this information, and I wanted it to be here when they returned. I'll probably go see Jordan's family before it gets too late."
"I just wanted to make sure they could get to this file," she said, bringing it over and setting it on the edge of the desk. "Just... If they come in, let them know I left it here, yeah?"
She smiled wide at him. If he agreed, she'd wave to him and then head out.
She would take a seat first, looking cheerful as ever.
"I wanted to ask if you had any interesting stories about your time on the field!" she says with a few excited nods.
"Of course if you don't have time, I wouldn't mind being directed to the files so I can read them! I was so fascinated by your enemy called Thanatos and how Director Alcott died once!"
