Mike was in the courtyard with a baseball bat and a bucket of baseballs.  He was tossing a ball up into the air before swinging the bat at it.  One man batting practice!

Bahram was out for a jog, when he noticed someone who'd caught his attention from the orientation. The kid with the glow, whose name and ability he was yet to find out. Curious, he slowed to a walk, before fast-forwarding to a nearby tree and observing the kid from a short distance away.

Mike didn't pay the guy watching him any mind as he tossed up another baseball and slammed the bat into it! Though it got away from him and and went for his observer.

"Heads up!!!"

The ball's hit! It's going, going...

And freezes in midair! Martin's there, a sly grin on his face as he brings the ball to his hand.

"Nice swing, kid. You play?"

Martin's interjection might have been to save Bahram from getting cracked in the head with a baseball!

Having been mid-sit already, Bahram just rewound to his previous position and the ball ended up smacking into the tree.

"Mean swing, kid," Bahram laughed, nodding to Martin as he stopped the ball, and the two spoke basically the same thing at the same time. "Just a hobby, or do you take this seriously?"

"Well, I tried to dabble back in school. But they don't take kindly to our kind on their teams. Cheating they claim."

He shrugged. It was whatever.

"But it's fun."

Having spotted the impromtu baseball game from inside, Emery teleports over to the tree, picks up the dropped ball, then reappears next to Mike, holding the ball out in his hand for him to take.

"Hey, you guys playing? Room for one more?"

"I got kicked off my team back in the day, too. I know how it is."

Martin tosses the ball idly and catches it in midair, up and down, up and down. Then he raises an eyebrow as Emery appears.

"We'd need a lot more for a full game, but I can toss the ball for you two if you like. My power gives me a pitch faster than Clayton Kershaw."

Man, it'd been 15 years since that dude was at his best. He probably wasn't even still playing.

"They always do," Bahram shrugged as well. There was always one reason or another to ostracize someone.

To Emery asking if they were playing, Bahram looked over at Mike. "That'd be up to this young man."

Emery looks at Aaron, appreciatively. "Nice man. Might mean that there's actually a ball which will be fun to try and catch."

"I'll play fielder. I can cover all the bases, so we don't really need many for a game."

on't think anyone will claim cheating, here," Bahram spoke with a grin. "Two teleporters, so we should be on opposite teams. Senior Agents against the Junior Agents?" he asked Martin.

"Don't see a reason not to. Let you kids get some fun practise in."

Martin uses telekinesis to spin the baseball on his finger. He'd played shortstop in his day, but it still felt good to stand on the field again.

"Alright."

He hands the bat to the new kid and begins to glow blue, a baseball bat forming in his hands made of pure energy.

"Batter up."

With Martin as the pitcher, Bahram ran across the bases, from third to first, before taking a position in the outfield.

Martin settles on the mound, ball floating idly next to him until whomever's up is ready at the plate. His smile almost shows teeth as he raises a hand and the ball starts spinning so fast it almost turns into a blur, before eventually blasting towards the plate, easily going 100 mph. Low and inside, but still inside the strike zone.

Martin zips the ball back to himself and preps another pitch! This one comes high, maybe just outside the zone, but would Mike notice with how fast it's going?

Damn, ball one. "Good eye, kid."

Credit where due, after all. The next ball seems to be even faster, looking like a fastball right down the middle only to suddenly sink drastically!

Emery takes a seat, near first base, watching the pitching and seeming almost bored, but you can tell he's keeping a very very close eye on the ball.
