Rebecca watches him go in for a second, curious about he change in attitude but not commenting on it. Too many things could be the cause; they weren't exactly glued at the hip.
She glances over her shoulder to see if there is anyone or anything monitoring the door before following after. No point in hanging around where she can be seen, no matter what she does.
There were standard hallway cameras, but Silas didn't seem concerned. He wanders over to the chemistry cabinet, looking to pick that lock as well.
He looks back at Rebecca when she follows him in, but doesn't object. He doesn't say anything else, but keeps glancing at her as he pulls some things out.
Rebecca shuts the door most of the way and watches for a couple moments as she tries to guess what he could possibly be breaking into the cabinet for, but there are too many possibilities for that to last for long.
"What are you thinking?" she asks quietly. He's obviously got something in mind. She isn't sure if his silence is due to focus or something else, but it feels off, considering their previous exchanges.
For now, she's going with the classroom in general. Mostly because she personally hasn't tried to stop him from getting what he requires.
"Like the smokescreen?" She starts to walk the perimeter of the room, looking for something to do besides talk both of them to death. Part of her wandering a had been for space, after all. Besides, one experiment in here was enough.
"You don't think they're going to notice some things are different?"
"Similar, yes." He doesn't hide but doesn't expand any further either. He glances up, watching her as she moves around the room but looks away when she looks at him.
"No one here looks at these closer than I do. I have the cameras on a loop so even if someone notices they likely won't know who."
That explains his lack of caring, thought it does make sense. Apparently he had found ways to work around his nemesis. Nodding, Rebecca leans back and rests some of her weight against an empty table nearby, looking to see what he's picking out.
Neither of them seem particularly comfortable at the moment. She hasn't exactly relaxed, though knowing about the cameras helps enough for her to stop walking. She's also fairly certain he's avoiding her a little.
"And if something goes wrong?" Besides getting the hell out of dodge. She shakes her head again, realizing it was a pointless question when he's just mentioned the cameras. It'd be the same effect, she supposed.
"Nevermind. What sort of weapon?" She hasn't looked away since picking out a table.
Its good she disregards her own question, as the look Silas gives her suggests that he was about to do just that. Looking at the table, she can see a few chemicals clearly labeled: Fluothane, Neothyl, and Penthrane. He pulls out a microscope and slide, dripping the first on it and inspecting it.
"Knockout gas. Which is easy enough, the hard part is finding the right balance and mix of explosive to not effect too wide of a radius for too long, so I'm not affected as well."
Still distant, not making eye contact as his words come out flatter than usual.
Her lips press into a line as she regards the chemicals as well as taking in his silence. She watches him for a moment, caught between two questions as she shifts.
"And you plan to test this how?" Might as well start with the easier one, first.
Her mouth tightens further, eyelid twitching. She'd warned Mike not to let Silas keep this sort of thing up, whether he'd listen to her now or not. Sure, he had his shields, but this was untested on both ends.
"Of course not." She snorts, crossing one leg over the other as she scowls. "I just think you have other ways to test them, if you'd stop to think about it. You're smart enough for it." She shrugs, looking away.
She looks at him at the question, arms falling to her side as she stands straight again and raises her brows at him.
"Normally? Nothing." She blinks, considering the younger agent for a second. "I'd settle for you telling me whatever crawled down your throat and stuck there, though."
