It's late again at Paradigm Academy, as per usual when Silas would use one of the chemistry labs as his personal workbench.
Projectile gas bombs have been his current pet project, but one that has proven difficult despite its simple design.
Tonight's problem was finding the proper mix of gas and explosive compound. Perhaps the latter was packed a little too heavy as the door to the classroom suddenly blows off into the hallway and several desks pushed out the window with a crash!
Cam is startled awake by a loud noise in the lab. She was supposed to be keeping watch but she had fallen asleep in a corner. Still cloaked she sent a text message to Mathew and then walked over to the person near the chemicals.
Aaron had been heading back to the pods when, up above, a classroom exploded and sent desks flying down at him. The darkness of the night swirled around him, forming a shield that knocked the desks aside and left a very alarmed junior agent standing there, gaping up at the broken window.
No time to focus on his own mishap, though. Someone could be hurt up there! He solidifies the shadows under his feet into a platform and, much like if he were making a wall chase a Legion bot or copying Noelle's darkness wave technique from the first time they sparred, raises it up to the window! He'd cover his nose and mouth with a sleeve if there's smoke, and climb through, looking around.
Cam has to think fast! Before the stranger can get up she starts putting things in front of the door to block it off. She then runs over to him and tackles him trying to pin him down.
Cam troes to roll out of the way of the incoming elbow.
She stands up and starts yelling.
"Nobody move. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?"
She's way to familiar with this speech.
"Sorry. Force of habit. Normally when I get tackled... Nevermind! Why are you stealing these Chemicals bro?"
As she gets up to her feet and starts talking, Silas instantly turns to the desk and picks something up in an ovalish shape around his knuckles.
Mid-speech, he fires a yellow beam at Cam's stomach! Assuming she was more focused on speaking than dodging, wherever she'd get hit would feel like she just got sucker punched directly in the nerves!
The beam goes through the shadow, as it is composed of light!
Seeing its effects greatly exaggerated, Silas pauses as he looks at the weapon in bewilderment.
"That one attacked me and in turn damaged the classroom. The directors should probably be informed." Silas tells Aaron as he points at Cam. Then glances at Valo!
Interesting; he's going to have to train much harder to counter light attacks. After all, what is conjuring darkness if not snuffing out the light? Aaron hopes the girl is okay!
"That's not what you were saying a minute ago."
He'd seen the entire fight, after all, and heard Silas try to play off the explosion before it started. He takes a few steps closer to Silas, not taking his eyes off him, even as the room starts getting darker around them.
Cam wasn't really knocked out. She was pretending as part of a plan. She cloaked herself and got up from the ground. She started to running towards the boy who shot at her. She was going to try and tackle him again.
Silas knows the effects of his gun and knows her ability now! He won't get caught again as he sidesteps at the last second, looking to let Cam ram her head into the desk.
Aaron had been going to tell Silas he had one last chance, but the girl getting back up and continuing the fight left that to vanish into the wind. It's obvious Silas is up to something, though; why would Mr. Amtrum be sending people for him otherwise? Not to mention how the guy had lied right to Aaron's face despite knowing what Aaron had seen. Or that whatever happened to this classroom, he was right in the middle of it.
This has to stop before somebody gets really hurt, though, and it's pretty obvious neither of them will listen to him trying to break things up, plus Silas had kind of shot that girl. While Silas isn't looking, Aaron draws upon the agent's own shadow and sends it shooting up to punch him, hard, right in the liver.

As those who've come across Silas should know by now, just because he isn't looking doesn't mean he's not paying attention.
That said, he hadn't expected Aaron to cheap shot him for no apparent reason! The shadow punches right under the elbow of his hand flicking off, landing decently flush though he naturally moves back with the power of the blow!
His eyes go wide in both anger and surprise as he throws a yellow disc at the ground by Aaron's feet which starts pouring smoke into the room!
A large pillar of stone would zoom in from the doorway slamming into Silas' head before melding around his face completely, yanking and pulling Silas into the dark hallway.
Silas would scream if he could as he gets pulled out! Instinctively he draws an explosive disc and tries to attach it somewhere behind his head far enough away that he doesn't risk blowing his own head off as he tries to break the rock apart!
