Being the first person in this pod, Taner takes the room with the most windows. Set up is fairly simple, the bed is placed against one wall with desk and entertainment center opposite. There's also a bookshelf and dresser, most importantly is his beanbag chairs.
Fresh from her training session, Savaak enters the dorm, letting the door slide shut behind her as she walks into the center of the room, spinning in a slow, languid circle as she takes it all in with a smile.
"Middle name, actually. My first name's as vanilla as they come." She seems almost chipper about it as she takes a seat on a chair near the sofa, happy to talk with her roommate and get to know him.
"I can see that." She nods in understanding. Yay racial assumptions.
"Nothing so fancy, I promise." She shifts her luggage to one side, hugging her knee to her chest for a moment before releasing her leg to sit properly again.
"My first name's Elizabeth, but I never liked the name. My father started referring to me by my middle name when I was young as play, and it stuck." Really, really enthusiastic Star Trek junkies.
"So, what brings you to Paradigm?"

"It's a bit of a tradition for you, then." That made sense. She grins along with him.
"I came to improve my abilities and to put them to good use. There's a lot of things we can do out in the world, but I believe the experience here would be good. At the end of the day, we are the ones who know the tally - and the truth."
He didn't really think of it that way, tradition was more a military service thing in his family. That and he is fairly sure his mother isn't many people's favorite. He grins wider when she explains her own motivations for joining.
"Wow, you are a right bundle of sunshine. Aren't you?"
"It's something I've heard before," she agrees with a small laugh. "Besides, there are enough things in the world to keep us down. I'd rather fight back than be dragged under."
"Well, I come from military. Grandfather is a Marine, mom's a Marine, so when I said I was going to join Paradigm I got a nice six year long boot camp."
He says with an average teenagers exasperation.
"Truth be told, it's what I need but it was hell. Survival training, tactics, close quarter combat, guns, hand-to-hand. But now I have those skills at my disposal too."
