"Honestly?" She asked with a raise of her brows. "Nothing. I spend some time with Aaron and maybe a little with Angel, but really... I don't do anything else."
Since coming to the United States, she hadn't turned her attention to the activities she did for fun: no studying, no reading, no anything. Given, it wasnt like she did much for fun back in Australia either.
She smiled slightly, trying to think of what she might do for fun. She seemed to be relaxing more, even though her mind was spinning. Being away from Him for so long did that.
"Definitely not," she said. "I grew up in a church."
There's a pause as she looks at Piper while trying to imagine her in a church. It's difficult at best. Not that she seems anti church, but it's definitely more than just the green hair.
"Yeah," she commented with a little snicker. "So am I. The Catholic Church really isn't a place for me."
It almost felt as if she should be drinking, spinning some glass between her fingers, smoking a cigarette and proving how very un-Catholic she was.
"It meant no fun for me. I was allowed to clean the church or pray... the latter of which I really did not enjoy." If she had her drink, she would have raised it at that thought, and humor crossed her features. "I'm really good at cleaning, though."
Rebecca makes a face at the idea. Definitely not the life for her, either. She could relate to the unappreciated prayer; she'd had that conversation with Director Harris already.
"Your podmates must love you," she muses with a grin.
"The boys stay on their side. Eliott and I.... we're getting along, now. She's come to appreciate my cleaning." Her eyes twinkled with mischief, something rare for her... especially after her near breakdown only moments before.
Though she's noticed the shift in mood, Rebecca doesn't comment on it. Yet. Sometimes you need a distraction, but it seemed like she was trying too hard to act like nothing was bothering her.
"Elliott's your roommate?" She remembers Eliott about as well as the other girl probably remembers her. "That has to be interesting."
She shrugged. "Eliott, Mark, and Angel." Piper remembered the green bathroom and despite herself, laughed. "Eliott and I are actually what you could call friends, now."
"He doesn't seem to have a wide range of emotions," she agreed, before turning her attention back to Eliott.
Leaning forward as if the two were sharing in some sort of secret - still careful not to touch her, or even really seem as if she might - Piper told her about the grand scheme she had managed to pull off.
Leaving green dye in the bathtub and on the sink, and following that up with a few green hairs.
It really hadn't been THAT much of a mess, but it had done what she needed it to do.
Rebecca's eyes widen as Piper tells her the story, covering a mouth with one hand to stifle the laughter she can feel bubbling up in her throat. It's only partially successful as she closes her eyes, shoulders shaking.
"Beautiful," she manages after she regains her composure, her eyes bright with the silenced laughter. "Absolutely beautiful."
"We spent a while emailing after that. She agreed to be friends. When I called her El, she called me Pipes." She joined in the soft laughter, giving a shake of her head.
"She's not a bad girl. Really, she's not. She's just a little..." Strange? Antisocial? Weird? "Naive."
"It was mischief with a purpose," she insisted, but there was a slight smile on her face. After all, what good Catholic girl didn't secretly love mischief?
"A good one, it seems." She chuckles and nods, resting her chin on her hand. She made no secret that she approved. "So we've uncovered one piece of the mystery of 'What does Piper enjoy,' then."
Her interest piques when Piper starts listing things that she likes, even more so as she realizes they share some.
"Yeah, I've always wanted one, too. We thought about sharing one as a pet in my pod, but it's still up in the air for later." She grins. "Halloween's my favorite, especially with all the colors out here." She's more of a winter girl, though. Layers are less of a hassle.
She smiled, glad to hear that Rebecca shared some of her interests. "I didn't realize we COULD have pets," she admitted with a shrug, but she seemed excited. Maybe she could...
Eliott. Right. Maybe not.
"I know everything there is to know about Nazi Germany," she said, grin turning almost predatory. "Literally everything."
"I didn't either, at first. One of my friends went with me when I picked out my tarantula. I stopped bringing her out as often with the cold though." This was a new expression for her. Rebecca rolls with it for now, though. Another thing to worry about when she had a bit of time.
