He hadn't taken no for an answer. So there they were outside of Chicago at a small little fair set up in one of the surrounding cities. With Eric's determination finally trumping her own, Rebecca joined him out for a night at the fair before winter would take it all away. Dressed in a gold top and her usual faux leather, she shrugs deeper into her coat as she waits for him to come back with the bands, holding up her left hand and wiggling her fingers at him. No jazz hands, though. "You trust these fingers?" she teases. Of course, she's gloved, but that's not the point. She had no clue how any of this was supposed to go now, or what would come of it. But sometimes you have to cut the wire, right? For better or worse. She lets him, holding very still as she does so, then goes off to whichever roller coaster is around first. There's the dreaded spinning cup thing that tilts into the air, drawing her attention as they wait in line. "We're going on that one next," she decides. Especially if they're waiting to eat. "Thanks." She nudges him with her elbow in hopes of recovery. Who knows when she'll get used to being hit on. "You look nice, yourself." She looks around the fair, taking in the scenery and the people not showing up in the middle of the day. Come evening, that would change, but at least the lines were shorter for now.
