Freya seems mostly stone-faced as she stares at the scene, but it's clear she's still having a difficult time.
Mae on the other hand just stares at her children, arms crossed. She hadn't known why she was here until a few minutes ago so she's leaving it up to Seth for now.
Both siblings find their weight suddenly double, then double again, pushing them to the floor.
Seth slowly turns to face them.
"Don't. Lie. To. Me."
He carefully punctuates each word.
"Your mother and I have just spent hours traveling here, due mostly to Tamara deciding she wanted to speak with me one last time before she ended her life. This is your chance to tell me what happened from your side, I suggest you don't squander it."
Then, almost as an afterthought, the gravity returns to normal.
Freya gives a soft cry as she falls to her hands and knees, really in no condition to be fighting anything. Once the gravity is lifted, she feels less and less confident about lying to him.
'Without Tamara guarding his mind, I can probably read it...let me at least make sure...'
Freya wouldn't get up immediately, instead she'd try to...filter through his anger to look for evidence that this conversation happened.
Seth continues watching, the smile that usually covers his expression having disappeared long ago.
Freya can read the surface thoughts, most of them revolving around how stupid his children have grown to be, as well as a combination of both regret and disgust in terms of Tamara.
He needs to give him something, his father won't let the silence stand for long.
"I forced her to let Freya explore the city on her own. I wanted her to experience some of the freedoms I have enjoyed for myself." He holds his chin high, indignantly.
With the statement, Freya wasn't about to try to lie her way through anything. Sure, she held a united front with her brother at first so as to not screw him over.
But...she wasn't going to mess with her father. Not with the anger she felt. She almost wished Silas felt it too so he would know better...
Seth sighs heavily through his nose, enough that Silas can feel his breath.
"Silas, you are my one and only son, and as such, I will always love you. You were the one who would carry on my name eventually, and I prepared you with every skill I could develop for you."
He steps back away from him.
"You are my greatest disappointment."
For once, he lets a frown touch his lips, not bothering to hide his emotions behind a pleasant or neutral mask.
"You were born without a power, but I ensured you would be able to defend yourself. I gave you every advantage in life that I could. But now, not only have you deprived me of my 'eyes' in some childish attempt of competing with me, but you endangered your sister by allowing her to leave the Academy's grounds on her own where she could be attacked."
