He snapped. This whole thing was getting fucked fast. As if the Empire being in the city at all wasn't bad enough. If she couldn't hold it together he was going to pull her and scrap this whole mission.
...All he had to do was call her Sarah? Huh. Something about that irks him, but maybe that's just the mood seeing her like this has put him in.
He keeps watching. He feels terrible for pushing her so far, but his expression keeps that flat, trying-his-best-to-keep-composure look he was wearing when Mat came in. The anger inside would take a lot more than this to go away.

"I swear to God if you don't wipe that fucking smirk off your face Sarah I'll wipe it off for you. If you can't get your shit together then I am scrapping this mission."
He'd round on the boys.
"Rhett, you know better. You are an intelligence expert. I expect you to be able to gather intelligence without fucking over your team. And as for you Silverman..."
He'd jam a stone finger at Aaron's chest.
"I would expect someone that is so keen to use his power to listen in on The Director and cause tension between branches to at least use it to do some fucking recon. This is ridiculous. All of you."
A tear fell down her cheek and her head tilted to one side, but that smile was still there. Suddenly, however, it's smile looked predatory. There was some kind of tension there, as her entire body quivered.
"You do not pull the strings," it said in a harsh, very un-Sarah voice.
Aaron gets jabbed in the chest, but he doesn't budge. For once he looks Mr. Amtrum square in the eye, and he has no intention of looking away. He's too angry for that - at Jim, for all the evil he's done, for what he's done to Piper, and at himself, for all the ways he's fucked up recently. There's only one thing Mr. Amtrum pointed out he's willing to make a point against, and he keeps his tone cool, collected, civil. He has nothing against Mr. Amtrum after all.
"She only just told me today about the mission, sir. I didn't know there was recon to do an hour ago; I've been doing what you told me to do, keeping an eye on her and making sure she doesn't get in trouble."
Even though it had meant missing the rally, where people needed him. It meant doing nothing as dozens died or got hurt.
"I wanted to get everything I could on Clavish, to know exactly who we were dealing with. When she seemed uncomfortable with the questioning I tried to stop it, but she told me to keep going."
Also, seriously. What did he expect of Aaron? Walk up to the address completely alone and unsupported to sniff around? What if he showed up and Clavish was waiting with a platoon of Imperials or something?
"Yeah, looks like she is hunky dory under your watch. You want to know who you are dealing with? A cult leader and a psychopath who literally can not and will not stay dead. You are dealing with someone who might show up with a bomb strapped to his chest, or poison dumping through the vents."
He'd clench his stone fist.
"Shaffer. Can you get this situation under control or not?"
He slightly resents being called "green," but compared to Rhett and Mr. Amtrum, it's true. He's still looking at Mat, though, even as he talks to Rhett.
"After everything that sick bastard has done, I'm not letting this mission go belly-up. I'll do whatever it takes."
"Yeah, I did. These kids are not ready which is why I'm trusting you to see them through this. It's fucked, but her relationship with Clavish is our best bet to spring the trap before he can get away. I need to know you can handle this, because I'm not going to be a phone call away when shit goes down."
"It wasn't a fucking cult!" She said, a bit louder, her eyes flashing back to her usual eyes. Her body was shaking, but it seemed like the anger was helping. It made her focus in the present, and she was able to push the memories aside.
"And we don't NEED you to be a fucking phone call away!"
....Well then, Sarah.
"The Director decided to use my plan and take me as bait! I'm fine, and this is FINE."
She shook her head, putting a hand up to her temples. Her head hurt and she could feel the banging of her old habits in her head. Stop, she demanded. Stop this.
"We've got this," she finally said, her voice soft. "I'm not going to be a liability. I warned them of what happens. I warned them of what that basted did to me. What he does to me. They're supposed to take me out."
Aaron'd looked away from Mat, finally, to keep an eye on Piper when her little outburst came to the surface, eyes growing a little less cold as she seemed to snap out of it. He kept his attention on her a few moments longer, watching to see if she was okay, until he heard Rhett's response.
"You've got a whole team to work with, Rhett. Don't discard them out of hand."
He glances over at the senior agent, bristling at the words and not even noticing that he'd dropped his roommate's title.
She crossed her arms and kept herself quiet, glaring at Rhett. She was used to Mat's arrogance, but this new guy seemed to think he could take Clavish on mostly by himself.
Her dislike for him grew with each passing second, but at least her anger was keeping her memories at bay.
