"If we interfere too directly in that, we're going to tip him off and he'll just book it. Or shoot her."
Unacceptable. He mutters to himself, looking at the map of the mission area. Did he manage to get a floor plan of the target building?
"As for approach... I can cover us getting in there with my darkness powers, but we have to figure out where to set everybody up. Too far, we can't do anything, too close and we'll be spotted."
"With a building this big, it'll be near impossible to properly set a sting for Clavish."
Unless they bring it outside having him set up would be a risk that he'd be unable to do anything.
"If this is what we're dealing with, there's no chance I get a shot. I'd have to try and covertly enter through the roof if I don't just go in with you all."
"He's been at this for longer than anyone in this room's been alive - of course he'd account for snipers."
Hrm. Maybe...
"If we can sneak up to that admin office, we might still have enough to work with here. We'll just be dealing with much shorter ranges. I can probably use my powers to get us in through a window, or roof access."

This is looking more and more like a creek full of shit, and they have no paddles. Taner rubs his forehead lightly.
"If we're actually doing this, we need twice as many people. Four is not enough."
At this point, the only facet of this operation they could foreseeably change in their favor is the numbers. However even that wasn't a guarantee, it could just be evening it out.
"We really have very little control over where in this warehouse this meeting happens. We don't how many guards Clavish may or may not bring with, or what they'll have in terms of equipment and powers. Our intelligence on the one thing we do know, Clavish, is five years old. Doing this with the four of us isn't feasible unless every. single. thing. falls in our favor."
Sniper plan is pretty much out the window since it removes him from being able to help if everything didn't play out right.
"Our best option without thinning ourselves is the three of you entering for the meet. If I take the roof, I can enter through the second floor to get a drop on the meeting. Enya's gas is our best bet in that case, though it might not work on Clavish, it should take out everyone else in the immediate area. I'll sweep in and blast Clavish in the commotion with a shotgun while Aaron and Rhett take crowd control. You guys can try to bring in some gear but they'll most likely check you so don't count on it."
They're essentially springing a trap with the hopes of catching the trapper. Literally.

"We can't walk in there with her, he'll see us before we see him and then this whole thing goes bad. We're not who Jim asked her to bring, and he's going to realise that - if he doesn't, she won't be able to not tell him, anyway."
Not that he doesn't share Taner's concerns, and obviously the guy's got a good head on his shoulders for these things.
"We're not even sure it's happening in this building. We can follow her through the district as she heads to the meeting; my power can get us onto the rooftops, and we'll shadow her - no pun intended - that way. If it goes down here, we can enter through the roof or the windows, stick to the second floor to keep an eye on things; once we see Clavish, we drop the hammer from above."
He words it more as a suggestion than a command, letting everybody else digest it.
"If we go in separately, we'll all be too spread out to support each other if one of us gets in trouble. This warehouse is pretty big, and we don't know for sure if Clavish is alone."
"We're the ones the Director picked out, aside from whomever Piper's bringing. There has to be a reason we were trusted with this, and not anybody else."
Frankly, he still thinks some of Paradigm's heaviest hitters should be going in there, as much as he wants to face Clavish himself. He shares Taner's misgivings, and frowns before looking to Rhett.
"You're the senior agent here, what do you think? Do we try to bring a few more people in?"
Taner sighs, seems that this was being half-assed from the top down.
"Well, if this is what we're working with our best bet is not get too fancy and just smash-and-grab. Hit fast, hit hard, and drop anything that comes at us."
Getting too cute like he'd been spitballing would just get them caught up and killed.
"I'll get my hands on an AA-12 with a 32 shell drum and some FRAG-12 high explosive rounds. I might have someone I can pull in, too."
The two of them were doing a bunch of things already, what's one more?
