After a few days being monitored in one of Paradigm's holding cells, the Acolyte will have been brought into an interrogation room, and Aaron's made sure he's been made comfortable. This is one of Clavish's victims just as much as Sarah is, after all, and even if he's their enemy, pushing him too hard too fast could shut down any chance of learning something from him.
Right now, Aaron's observing him through the two-way mirror, checking on the Acolyte's status and waiting for a few things. Namely Fiona, who he asked to come if she was well enough, and any results from having the incense sample he brought back from the warehouse analysed by Paradigm's tech department.
He had indeed given that request by proxy. Which was concerning in its own right - where'd Fiona gone? He and Fiona haven't grown super close yet, but she didn't seem the type to just randomly vanish.
Odd about the incense, too; something to do with this acolyte's power, maybe? But Aaron knew what he saw. He'd have to be careful in there, then. Finally, he looks over and gives Taner a nod, ready to go.
"Don't push yourself too hard in there; we just want to talk to him. See what we can learn."
Holding the door for Taner, he'd lead the way out of the observation room, then into the room with the Acolyte. He really wishes Fiona were here to help them, but then, she'd been through a lot; he wouldn't want to burden her too much.
"Thanks for the patience, sir," he says to the Acolyte as they walk in. "You've been treated well, I hope."
Aaron will sit at the seat across from the Acolyte, inviting Taner to do the same at the chair next to his own.

It's getting increasingly tempting to poke the Acolyte, wave a hand in front of his face, scream at him, slap him... something. Anything that might get him to actually react.
Let's not do that, though. Let's be professional. He knows somebody who can get past the stone wall.
He pulls out his phone, keeping his eyes on the Acolyte, and sends Evelyn Cravens a text.
He's giving us the silent treatment, I don't think anything I'm willing to do will get him to react. You're up, if you want to help out.
The little orange haired girl looked anything but intimidating as she bounded into the room, wearing an embroidered white sweater and tight jeans, her hair loose around her face.
She was even smiling.
Poking her head in, she looked over to Aaron. "Did you call?" She asked with a little, innocent wink.
Aaron looks over to him, not arguing, just sort of conveying a 'not in front of him' vibe. Then his attention is brought off Taner when Evie arrives!
"Hey, thanks for coming down so quickly."
Sure, he'd asked her to be waiting in the wings just in case, but it was still appreciated. He gave her a smile in return and nodded to the Acolyte, still sitting there.
"Our guest needs a little help opening up."
Gentle help. Whatever this guy knew was important, could salvage that disaster out there, but he wasn't going to smash his fingers with a hammer or anything.

Fear made her pulse quicken, her stomach clench. There was obvious panic in her blue eyes, usually glittering with softness and affection.
"Aaron!" She screeched, and her chains unfurled. The response was almost instinctive, her body to its knees, as she wrapped one tightly around Aaron and one around the Acolyte.
Her intention was to throw them away from each other, one against each wall. The reaction was surprisingly violent, coming from tiny, harmless Evie, but fear did that to people.
Her eyes, however, became vacant, and her chains quivered on anybody they were touching, her voice an echo across their thoughts.
Aaron was looking right at Evie, but he still didn't expect her to scream at him, grab him in her chains and try to throw him against the wall! He calls up a wall of shadows to catch himself before he's thrown too far, but there's still enough of an impact for him to grunt and fall to the floor!
"Evie, what the hell?!"
...Oh, son of a bitch. An idea had started crawling into his mind, and when her thoughts touch his, it becomes much stronger. It was never the incense, making those visions!
Evie, he tries to "think" back at her, along the chains. Whatever you're seeing isn't actually happening. His power is illusions!
She kept her chains around the two, but her expressionless face turned up to look at Taner. She heard him, but she was more focused on the words in her head.
