Despite what a couple of people have said about late night wanderings, Rebecca's at it again. The fact that something's bother her like said people aso suggested is beside the point.
She walks the halls without much of a plan or care, hands in her pockets with the usual earbud in place for background noise. Maybe it's just her, but the whole place seems quieter. It's probably just the holidays.
It also means she's not seen some people in quite a while, and if she likes them enough, then that isn't exactly normal. Hopefully they're alright; maybe she'd swing by the dorms at a more appropriate hour and check on them.
Fi was down one of the hallways! Forehead silently pressed against the door that lead down to the basement where Tamara used to live. She still couldn't bring herself to go down there again. Afraid of what she would see.
Speaking of people she hadn't seen in a while, there was Fi. Becca's pace slows as she sees the girl, frowning when she realizes she knows what door the other girl is hanging out in front of. The basement. She hadn't been back since the day she'd spent hours down there with Destiny and Freya. Somehow, with the other woman gone, Rebecca didn't suspect Freya would still be down there.
"Fiona?" She keeps her voice low, not sure if she would startle the other girl or not. She seemed lost in her own world.
Becca slows further, eventually stopping. She knows from previous conversations that Fi gets everything at once, or nearly. She can wait a few moments for her to sort out whatever's going on in her mind.
She shivers and slowly sinks to the floor keeping her head pressed against the door. Maybe she really should just go die like Venus had told her. She couldn't even bring herself to go down some stairs. What good was she? She couldn't save the people that mattered no matter what she saw of the future. And seeing the past was nothing but trouble...
"Hey, Fiona." Rebecca starts approaching the psychic quickly as she sinks to the ground.
"What's wrong?" She crouches down to be about the same level, but doesn't reach out to touch her. Old habits take a while to die out, and the girl looks like she's going to be sick.
She just silently rolled her shoulders as her head rolled forward to not look at her anymore. Instead she'd stare at the door with an intensity that may have burst the door apart if she had a different power.
Rebecca remains silent for several seconds. Between her social skills and Fiona's mood, it's not the best combo.
"Torturing yourself over it isn't going to help you, Fiona," she adds after another moment. It's hard not to talk about it, though she's not sure how Fiona will react. Leaving her alone didn't seem like the best idea, though.
"No, I suppose not." She tries to recall what she can of her conversations with Fiona before now. Them was more than one person...oh. She'd almost forgotten the registry showing Miranda as one of Fiona's roommates. The girl had been the first of their class to be killed in action.
How would she know nothing would help the fallen? Unless she had?
"It was. You were right." She points a finger at the girl. "But that's not the part I'm talking about. You told me that there were endless possibilities in this world. I could break everyone's heart, betray paradigm, and have three kids. Or have none, no betrayal happens, and who knows who or what I would end up doing with my life?" She shakes her head.
"Fiona, the point is that, whatever you did, you tried. You can only give people the information. It's up to them to decide what to do with it."
