Rebecca's still in the infirmary, though hopefully that won't last much longer. She pokes absently at the food in front of her, dismayed. She has control over her power and is now eating hospital food. It's almost worth rotting it again.
Rebecca remembers both of them and blinks in surprise! She doens't really understand why they'd be visiting her since Eric was the more social of the two, but she sets the tray aside with a small smile for both.
She chuckles at Jamal's energy, definitely glad they could have saved two, if nothing else. Her heart twinges at the thought of them losing so many, or even what these two might have gone through if she and Eric hadn't been there, but she pushes the thought away for now.
"Yeah, well, better a bad knee than a another name on the list. Glad to see you're doing well." She looks over to Emily and nods. "Both of you."
"Oh?" She tilts her head to the side, looking at Emily since she spoke. The other girl looks super uncomfortable, so Becca's not sure if she's just shy or seeing something even worse.
"Actually, Emily, I do have a question about something you said." She's not going to let it go just like that. She'll work up to it if she needs to.
"Yeah, sorry about the lie. I think a lot of us expect it to be different when we first come here, but it's not all scary and doom." She nods, looking between the two. "Either of you going to stay?"
"Most of the people are pretty good here," she assure Jamal with a nod. "You get a few tough nuts and the like, just like anyone else. So I guess welcome home?" If that's how he feels about it in the end.
She looks at Emily with a small smile, trying to seem less intimidating to the girl. There's not a lot of joy in it, but she tries anyway.
"When we were all on our way here, I asked if there was any forget outcome for aerie other than death. You said taken, but didn't want to talk about it. Why?" As much as she wants to pry further, she probably won't. Freely given warnings instead of leeching off of a person's abilities are two different things.
