Tammy bounded into the training room, nervous energy all too apparent as she skidded to a halt a couple feet in front of the trainer. He didn't seem like the chipper sort, but whatever. Woah, was his arm made of rock? That was...kinda cool and kinda freaky.
Anyway, she was pretty excited to be here, it was kind of a big deal right? Oh god, she was rambling. Focus, Tammy, focus. She nodded to the older man. "Hiya," She ventured a grin, hoping he was more friendly than he looked. "I'm Tammy. Nice to meetcha."
His right arm was indeed made of solid stone. From the shoulder down it was pure rock. Mathew would not return the grin or the chipper greeting, instead his eyes fixated on her intently. His expression nearing that of a scowl, and when he spoke his voice was bored like one that had said this exact phrase countless times before.
"Your task is to make me bleed before I hospitalize you. Any questions?"
Whew, tough crowd. Guy certainly didn't seem as excited as Tammy felt. He was pretty sure of himself, too. Tammy guessed she needed to rectify this.
"Nope. Let's do this." Tammy said with a grin, raising her guard and dropping into a semi-crouch stance. Fighting was something Tammy knew pretty well, and she was eager to give it a shot. She'd always been good, but with the whole superpower thing going for her now?
Tammy bobbed sideways out of his grab, his fingers just brushing past her but not quite getting a grip.
A moment later, Tammy heard the sound of the metal creaking, and instinctively glanced behind her. Eyes widening at the spikes, she tumbled out of the way, catching herself and executing a dive roll as the spikes just barely whiffed over her.
"Damn, dude, that's harsh!" She exclaimed, jumping back to her feet and throwing out a quick jab with her left hand.
One of the spikes clips her as she tumbles to the side, but since it was blunted she will escape with little more than a bruise. When she jabs with her left hand, Mathew's stone right hand would deflect it as he shifted his body forward to slam a right knee upward for her stomach!
Tammy felt her fist slam into stone, and winced. As she pulled back, though, a knee slammed into her gut, briefly knocking her off her footing. While she caught herself from falling down, the blow knocked the wind out of her, and she gasped. Shit, this was not good. Alright, no more screwing around!
Gritting her teeth, Tammy feinted, feigning a jab with her left before swinging out with her right in a heavy blow.
He falls for the feint and she lands a solid blow! But he doesn't bleed from her fist! She'd see his stone arm shifting and morphing into a blade moments before he'd swipe it at her, his scowl no longer on his face, but replaced by a smug smirk.
The strike hit home, and Tammy felt a brief burst of satisfaction from a solid, textbook hit.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, the dude's arm freaking shifted into a sword thing! Tammy's eyes widened as it cleaved towards her...
As Tammy ducked down and to the left, she felt a faint sensation, like air blowing past her, and then a dull feeling of pain as the afterimage she left was cleaved into before vanishing like smoke.
Tammy pushed off of her back foot and launched an uppercut towards the trainer's chin.
He'd thrust the stone arm toward her as she launched herself at him. She'd feel a sharp burning pain as it sliced into her side as she delivered her uppercut with another solid blow sending him staggering backward.
"Agh!" Tammy cried out as the blade caught her off guard. The cut hurt like hell, but wasn't too deep as far as Tammy could tell. Luckily for her, her strike landed, and bought her a split second to act.
Stepping forward, Tammy drew back her right fist and swung out hard, feeling the afterimage following the hit a moment later.
Both hits would collide and there would be a small trickle of blood from Mathew's nose! He'd sniff before wiping it away on his flesh arm and clicking his tongue.
"Get out of here before I rip out your tongue and use it as a tie!"
