The Doctor had done all he could for Eric, but the wounds he had were unlike anything he had seen in school. Burns that were not burns. Shot by a gun with no bullets. The outlook was grim and his professional opinion was there was nothing they could do but pray and try and make him comfortable.
Eric for his part was mostly quiet and deathly pale. He was awake and laying in the bed, but talking hurt almost as much as moving. And breathing wasn't far behind either.
Rebecca came back with the doctor and had been beating herself up about the situation ever since she had gone to fetch the man. A million questions and thoughts buzzed in her mind, but so far, nothing helped. Eric was still dying. Again.
She looks away, wondering if she'd done the right thing in asking the Kid's gang to come back so late. She'd tried...no idea knowing the damage. Hoping they'd have time. With light bullets? Becca, you're an idiot, and now it's going to get your boyfriend killed.
"I don't suppose you'd have anything in that vault of yours that could help him?" She's asking Alice, but not looking at any of them. Even if she did, who knows if Eric could hold out that long?
Rebecca gives a general nod to acknowledge The new guy who just entered, Alive's words, and Eric'a request. She shifts when Eric does, barely resisting the urge to tell him not to make this worse. There's too many ways that could happen at this point.
She holds her thoughts until the good doctor is out of the room.
"You forgot the jazz hands." She offers him a weak smile and takes a deep breath, focusing on her desire for a syringe capable of handling the job. Then she reaches into the hat to hopefully pull one out!
Good thing she already believes in magic. It's miracles that are difficult for her.
Rebecca takes a deep breath while her player dissolves into laughter, letting it out as she steps over to Noelle, looking around again with a frown.
"Right, I'm not a genius, but we at least need a tourniquet for this." She looks around the room to see if there's anything she could use as one. Otherwise it looks like it's time to tear up some fabric!
Rebecca blinks and lets out a quiet sigh as she shakes her head. Nothing like stabbing a pretty girl with a needle to stab your boyfriend and hopefully save him.
"Right." She'll reach into the hat with her free hand to pull one out, along with some bandages. Time to get this show on the road.
For the sake of not dragging this out, if she succeeds, she'll tie up the tourniquet and use the needle along Noelle's forearm to draw some blood when she sees a vein that doesn't look too deep!
"So, ever think that Paradigm would lead us to this?" As long as Noelle doesn't move her arm, Rebecca keeps moving. She has a steady hand, thankfully, and counts down from three before inserting the needle into Noelle, hopefully drawing enough blood if she gets lucky enough to hit it!
She's not sure why she's trying to be nice, but she is. Probably because she knows what it's like to be on the other side of the needle, especially if it's not something you're used to.
