Sarah was soon to go off to war and she had plenty of things that she needed to sort out first. She had a good time with her best friends and things felt good. She just had one other thing she needed to do, first.
She had gotten ahold of Mike, asking him to meet her in the Tutorial. Standing there with her sectional staff, she began to lightly move through her warm-ups, careful not to spin the sections too fast.
Mike would show up when he said he would with his hands tucked into his pockets.
"Hey..."
Awkward. She was dating Aaron? Or was she? He wasn't really sure anymore since Aaron didn't really want to go into it with him. But something had obviously happened.
Did he really not realize how much she had disliked him since their first conversation? How she had avoided him as much as she possibly could for as long as she could?
She gave a shake of her head. That was easy. She figured it would be best to just move on from there than stick around the subject and make them both uncomfortable and unhappy.
She used her powers in most things and it would probably put her on more even terms with him. She lowered herself and let her sectional staff swing free, beginning to get it to spin on either side of her.
She waited for him to take his practice swings before she launched forward, using as much of her speed as she could muster and taking a swing at his kneecap with one section of her staff.
She was much faster than him! And the staff would connect with his knee no problem, however the blow was absorbed by the aura around him. He'd try and bring the base of the bat down on her head while she attacked him. And if it managed to land on her she'd see he wasn't pulling his punches with how hard he was willing to hit her.
She had expected to shatter his kneecap and surprise made her hesitate. The second the bat hit her, she saw stars and dropped slightly, making a noise of surprise.
WELL then. He could actually hit. How interesting...
From the ground, she turned and swung the staff again, trying to connect with his legs and drop him to a more fair fighting position.
She was able to knock him to the ground but he didn't even let out a grunt of pain as she did. He'd try and grab the staff and pull her down ontop of him though where her speed would matter less.
He would succeed in grabbing the staff, but the moment he started to pull her forward, she shot her hand out at a fairly high speed, aimed straight for his jaw.
