The team finds themselves in a Syrian city, a block away from their target building, a single story building that could be considered more of a bunker than a building.
The team's been briefed that their target inside the building is the communications system: in order to keep the Empire's battalions from colliding fully against the allied forces, Paradigm is setting out to remove their ability to communicate.
Outside the building stands two heavy soldiers, flanking the doorway. However, perhaps much more pressingly, the team can hear something absolutely massive tearing through the city, heading in their direction.
Aaron is there, in full Paradigm combat armour, and carrying a gun loaded with electroshock bullets strapped to his hip. His watch is the only of his personal effects he didn't leave at base. Right now, he's standing in a darkened shadow near Mr. Amtrum, and watching the surrounding area for any signs of enemy activity.
This is a war zone, after all. He does indeed see the two heavy soldiers! Any visible paths that could lead to a blind spot?
In order to get to the building, Paradigm will need to cross the street at some point. It would take some significant sidetracking to get behind the two heavies.
Luna goes unnoticed for now, until she gets closer!
Mathew notices a fifty-story machine tear through a building on its way closer!
He'd pick up the pace, stone from the street moving up his body to coat his skin like an armor. He'd try to avoid the flying debris if he was close enough as he looked for the most direct way to get to the machine. But he couldn't deny he was excited.
It had been a long time since he has been able to fight another Dragon.
Aaron throws a hand up, to stop Luna for the moment!
"If you can run distraction so we can get inside, do it, but be careful. Those things are no joke and I don't want us going into a hornet's nest. Get their attention and pull back, get 'em away from the entrance. They've got some kind of force field, which we probably have to get inside to turn off."
Aaron looks the building up and down, checking for windows or some kind of roof access.
"The front door's a bad idea. One of my platforms can get us in there quicker and safer."
And people who come late can retroactively join team distraction or team infiltration!
Seems Luna went ahead with the distraction anyway! Aaron will start on his part of the plan then, drawing the electro gun as he heads for the building, since there's no windows!
The most direct way for Mathew to get to the machine is to just head straight towards it, right over the remains of the building. However, the machine starts to duck its head, opening its massive mouth!
As Luna gets closer, the two heavies notice her and start to advance on her as well! She's able to grab one, but the other leaps up, latching onto her face and pulling on her nose!
Savaak is already taking point because she followed after Luna, so she doesn't hear Aaron! There's no time to overthink things now; they've already been seen. And apparently expected.
"Or you could test the door with a tendril. Either way, we don't know what's on the other side."
Mathew's power starts to shut its mouth, silencing the machine's roar! Both its mouth and eyes start to glow green as he advances!
Luna's throw sends the heavy off into the distance, slamming into a building down the street! The other holds on tightly, and as she swipes at it, it lifts a hand up towards her face, hand glowing red before it's smacked down towards the ground.
Despite the polite wording, that hadn't been a suggestion. Still, Aaron does indeed test the door with shadow tendrils, charging up a blast of darkness in one hand as he checks if the way is clear!
He'd whip his arm up to try and force the metal to bend upward toward the sky. Each step forward would start to rumble the ground around them as he started to build up power and destabilize the ground.
Savaak is focusing on the guy fighting Luna while Aaron tests the door! If the other girl can't swipe the guy or stop the light, she'll blast him with a beam of light from behind!
