"Clearly he's got a family of skeletons in his closet." Averie chills at the back of the group while Elliot rings the door, examining her nails while their fearless leader takes charge. It was the moment of truth, shattering all expectations when a Russian bear answered the door. She looked up and really, really wanted to see what happened if you braided the hair and beard together.
Eliott's taken aback at first by the bearded man with the perfect hair. But she quickly realizes that isn't 'Hyde' at all. Especially not with that accent.
"Uh...hi. Sorry to bother you...I was looking for...Hyde Kuhnyokoo?"
A for effort.

Mike was just taken aback from surprise that this guy looked nothing like the picture. He'd look to see if he could see an address or apartment number. Maybe they found the wrong place?
...Mike's status just got elevated in Averie's book!
The blue-haired girl doesn't seem perturbed that someone else answered the door. Nothing had been said about a roommate or partner that she'd seen, but anything was possible. What was wrong with these people? Rolling her eyes, she takes a step forward, but daddy's little girl seems to be able to keep a hold on things. At least here's hope for her.
"Next time just tell him we're selling girl scout cookies," she muttered to Mark.
Oh, oh this one's going to be fun to mess with. Averie's somewhere between a cackle and mental facepalm, both expressions trying to take over at once.
She gives a slow clap to the revelation about Elliot's daddy, mentally agreeing with teh girl. Real winner there, ladies and gents.
"Looks like whatever evolutionary flaw happened worked for you," she snarked at the other girl. Though, a good point was brought up. It looked like they were going to have to look closer to home for the detective work to be done.
This was just getting weirder and weirder. Her Dad was in jail and this guy living at his place was part of Paradigm? He had to wonder why he had never met this guy.
This was getting better by the minute. Averie cocked her head to one side, waiting for the confusion to pass. The drama bomb kept having ripples and it was amazing.
So this one worked with the kindergardeners, huh? Well, he'd probably be glad to know that next to no one was injured then, including those kiddos. Averie's gaze flicked back to Elliot, wondering if the girl had been one of them while he worked there. Little bonding sprees everywhere.
"Oh no, I made it. Empire's just a bunch of dickrot." Seriously, had they not heard of timing?
Other than that, she says nothing. It's nothing that actually has to do with her. She starts letting her eye wander to the rest of the the neighborhood and building, looking for anything that will hold her attention.
Averie and anyone else who's looking would find it's actually quite a familiar neighbourhood. It's in fact incredibly close to the ruins of Paradigm! Walking distance and everything.
"No! No. He was the sperm donor my mothers chose..."
She's fearing imagining life with that scary criminal as an actual dad.
At this point, the sight of rubble is more familiar than the neighborhood. At least it's close. Maybe she'd swing by and kick some more rubble later.
Ring around the rosey, explanations left and right and everywhere again and again and--
She can't resist. She didn't even try. The moment Mark showed even more confusion over the donor thing, Averie pounched on it. She sidled up next to him with a serious expression and a nod.
"She had to be genetically altered." She knows better than that, but if he had to ask, he was fair game.
She was still who she was, and he still believed that whoever this Kuni person was would be proud of Eliott. Even his friend seemed to think he'd be happy to have a daughter!
"Who knows what else they changed?" she whispered, looking at Elliot with wide eyes, then back to Mark. "What if she was supposed to be super strong? Or blonde?"
Averie has no idea what either of Elliot's mothers look like.
The fact the other girl was just standing there, letting things get awkward was on her. This guy wasn't going to give her the reassurance she apparently needed to get on with her life, so why were they still hanging around?
