Mathew was already waiting in the training room. Though instead of waiting near the control panel he was sitting in the center of the room with his legs folded.
Rebecca appears on time, hair pulled back but otherwise the same as usual. She pauses for a second at the sight of Matthew sitting on the floor as she enters, but continues in, expecting for something to already be in place.
Her body tenses as he stands, eyes watching him as she resists the urge to stand, as well. She doesn't appreciate the uneven starting points. Still, she beds one knee so that she can start to rise as well.
"A lot." The mix of guilt, shame, and disgust is apparent with one look at her face as she remembers. "Most."
It was only a step or two before he was standing right in front of her, looking down at her with his stony expression. No pity for her past, no fear for her power.
"I've given your problem a lot of thought since I read your file at orientation. Killer."
It hurts her neck to look up at him, but she does so without blinking. It's not so different from a house cat facing up against a rhinoceros. The title, however, causes the emotions from before to intensify as her hands curl into fists until the fabric creaks and her arms start to shake. The pain and guilt are as familiar to her as her own shadow, but no one's called her that to her face.
She doesn't lash out, though.
"And what problem is that?" she asks slowly through clenched teeth.
She immediately backs up as she realizes that Matthew's hand is coming for her face, but the guy's about a foot taller than she is and has the reach to go with it. The instinct to pull away is useless as she's held aloft, struggling to break free.
"So I'm a killer who fears." It's hard to say if it's a question or not; her tone isn't very clear, though it has nothing to do with the hand in her face.
There's popping her bubble with a touch, and keeping it broken by continuing said touch. Rebecca isn't fond of either, and swings a kick at Matt's torso, or where she estimates it to be.
She's still flailing, though there's a sense of satisfaction at the solid hit - right up until it does her no good. Her struggles increase as she feels his hand grab at hers, jerking it away and doing everything in her power to prevent him from succeeding.
