"Regular ones are," she recalls, touching her chin with her forefinger. "The brown ones you usually see. I almost got another one, a really pretty blue one, but they're more aggressive and more work. It wouldn't be good to have it here with people, especially if it got out."
Shelob's just hanging on his shoulder. Mike makes for an interesting ride!
Rebecca looks over at Mike with a perplexed frown. Now she had both of them poking at her about one another.
"Wouldn't know," she admitted after a moment. "I don't run into him all that often after making it clear he's not welcome at the pod." Doesn't stop them from running into other places, but at least he's not stirring fires.
Her brows knit together. "Do we really?" Enya had suggested something similar, but Rebecca didn't see it, herself. Probably because every interaction still had the promise of potential manipulation.
"Silas is kin of like a funhouse mirror, I guess. The glass is still glass; you know it's a mirror, but that doesn't stop it from warping what you see when you move or look away. Sometimes you see one thing, but something else changes when you move to the left. Sometimes it's worth a second look. A lot of times, you kind of want to break the mirror."
"That's what I said." She watches Shelob for a while as she speaks. "Be more social, I guess, though they don't always drag me kick and screaming or anything." She shrugs as her hands slide back into her pockets.
"Sometimes, i go briefly and leave. Some of the stuff they're into is my thing, so there's no point in staying." She likes quieter places.
