[send pm] Joined: October 2015 Gender: Posts: 4,354 Spider Mom (open) « Nov 2, 2015 19:41:36 GMT -6 » Quote Select Post Deselect Post Link to Post Member Give Gift Back to Top Rebecca is, as usual, wandering the halls after classes are done for the day.  She doens't have any place in particular, but considering both her roommates were at the pod, it felt like a good time to leave and find her own space.  Technically, she'd been heading towards the archive, but it had turned into a mini "tour" for Shelob, the tarantula that was half hidden by the hood of her sweatshirt.  The little things was sociable, which was part of the point, and she was ensuring it wouldn't try to crawl onto her bare skin as they want.  Training needed to start early if you wanted to get anywhere with your kids. Instead, she manages a tiny smile. "Yeah? That's great. Congratulations." She means it, despite feeling awkward. After the cemetery thing, she's not sure she'd be doing missions anytime soon. The spider appeared to be okay with just hanging out on her back for now. "I was kind of hoping we could talk." The silence prompts her admission, looking at him out of the corner of her eye with a small frown. "If you don't want to, that's fine. It's kind of selfish of me. I just..." She sighs. So he didn't really know what to say, but he accepted the compliment in silence. "I didn't know you had a pet." She had never mentioned it before. "What did you want to talk about?" There was a bit more distance between the two of them as they walked then there used to be. But otherwise Mike showed no indication that he wanted her to leave him alone. "We were taking a tour tonight until I thought to look through the archives." She doesn't sound overly pressed to go back, though. She accepts the distance without a comment. "I haven't been on a mission yet, but I've had a couple of run-ins in the city," she admitted. "There was one the other night that was just...weird." Her voice dropped, taking a deep breath as she preps herself to talk to the first non-staff member what happened that wasn't directly involved. "A few agents think I attacked them. On purpose." She's looking at anywhere but Mike at this point, afraid of what she'll see. She waves a hand in front of her face, restricting her gesture to her own personal space as well as to keep from startling Shelob. "After that, I didn't see them. I saw zombies attacking some guy. But we don't really know what caused it, but that doesn't change the fact of what I did." She's not been beating herself up over it or anything.
