"Alright. I'm thinking blue and silver for colors. I'm not sure on the cape issue. To go with a cape or not. I'm thinking boots though. Probably spray painted combat boots. I am a captain after all. And yeah, probably not sunglasses but some kind of full face mask or goggles? Maybe have Techno Fury whip me up something special!"
She dives headfirst into it, because why not. It's better than being cooped up in this place with the silence.
"What kind of blue?" She drums her fingers to the side with the notebook. "And capes should be optional. Don't make them super long; you don't want people tripping over them." Imagine something as bad as a full length skirt, but free to move as it or the wind dictates.
"She probably could, yeah." It's sad that she knows exactly who he is talking about.
"That'll work, just try not to go too shiny or polished with the silver." A small, thoughtful frown. "Well, if you do, make sure to balance it out with a rougher, darker one. Like the ore." Contrast is key.
"I make my own stuff sometimes, or have to fix it. I pay attention to color and what works." She frowns and thinks of a simple way to put it. "You've seen old school super hero stuff, right? They keep it simple." She's seen a lot of covers, anyway.
She blinks, as surprised by his answer as the fact that he seems okay with it! Considering last time, that seemed like a bad idea, but he had also asked her what she had thought of him doing stuff like this. She'd said yes.
"The robot place, right?" Just in case she's wrong.
Again, she knows who these people are, and again it is sad.
"You haven't given him one yet? You better by the end of the expedition, or it won't be an orientation!" Because that's clearly what it's for. She grows serious again.
"So just looking to see what's there, or something specific?"
"Yeah." She understands and approves, as much as she can. If something came from her powers that tried to kill her or someone else, she'd want to know as much as she could, too.
"Just promise me you'll be careful, okay? I don't want to get out of here just to find they've brought you in." Oh wait, why does this sound familiar?
