Aaron falls to a knee, clutching his wounds and gasping in pain! But he can't give up. Not now. Even while his arm and leg are wet with blood.
How useless he's being right now, that's getting under his skin about as much as this fucking impossible to remove drill. He wants to get stronger, but how the hell is he supposed to learn anything from this?
How the hell would he learn anything if he gave up, though? The enemy wouldn't stop if he cried uncle, they'd straight up kill him.
The cloud isn't hard to maintain, it's just there, but he pools his energy into solidifying the bottom and trying to fling himself up and out of the sphere while it's still forming, darkening the air under himself if he can so he has a bit of a platform to work from.
As he scans the area for Mr. Amtrum, he keeps his hand to his leg, trying to feel for where the drill-hook-thingy is.
The drill bit seems to have reached his pelvis by the time he avoids the sphere! In the far left corner of the room he can see what appears to be Mathew covered in metal.
Mr. Amtrum has done the fake-him trick to Aaron before, so Aaron keeps looking, but just in case, what appears to be Mr. Amtrum gets a shadow suplex! Even though he can become the ground, it can at least disrupt his focus a little.
The metal isn't terribly close to the skin. He could try and dig it out but it would risk causing more damage. But if he doesn't it definitely will cause more damage! Aaron is able to Shadow suplex the figure a moment before he feels a metal boot collide against the back of his head!
He can wait until it's closer, unless it goes for-
WHUD
Aaron's head swims, and for half a second he slumps with a groan.
Then the shadows rise and wrap around the boot that hit him, and he tries to fling Mr. Amtrum upwards, keeping only enough darkness under himself to make sure he doesn't fall and go splat. If he can throw Mr. Amtrum, he'll start trying to wrap him up in shadows!
Even though that hit to the back of the head has him a bit dizzy, and feeling like he wants to throw up.
A surge of pain would ripple through Aaron's body as the drilling metal continued to move up past his pelvis toward his abdomen, a trail of ripped muscle and broken blood vessels in it's wake. He is able to grab the metal Mathew but some of the metal around his chest would shoot outward toward Aaron's head with a (thankfully) blunted pillar.
Crying out and coughing up blood, he shifts, weakly, out of the way of the pillar and flings Mr. Amtrum upwards, wrapping him in shadows as tightly as he can! He tries to focus mostly on his legs and head, because a smaller area can have more of his power concentrated into it.
If that works, all around Mr. Amtrum's head, he would find himself getting bombarded with shadow punches, as strong as Aaron could make them given the pain, dizziness and blood loss. He figures the metal armour's weakest around the face, too, so a lot of the punches try to smash into his mouth, or hook into his nose, or batter his eyes. At least they might disrupt his focus, and gradually wear down the armour!
Disrupting focus is his best bet, or so it feels. He can't really do anything about that fucking drill in him right now without risking eviscerating himself.

With the damage that was already, and continued to be inflicted upon Aaron as the metal kept moving closer to his organs he found it hard to hold Mathew and maintain his platform. Harder still to launch blows as his vision was getting darker and darker. Blood continuing to ooze out of his wounds.
Harder, but not impossible! He puts as much as he can into the barrage, trying to do as much damage as he can, but slowly, steadily, it'll slow down.
Eventually, unless he's managed to batter Mat enough, Mr. Amtrum will see the darkness over his face fade, and a barely-conscious Aaron tapping out on his platform.

The shadows were unable to dent the metal as he grew weaker and weaker. When he tapped out the metal would stop digging deeper into his body, though the damage was already extensive. Far more than than Mathew had intended or expected, but the kid didn't know how to do anything but smash his head against the wall and hope it dented before his head did.
He'd raise up part of the floor to form a platform to take them both to the ground and wrap Aaron up so he could be moved without moving.
"You're dead. And in Europe you'll die."
He didn't know if Aaron could even hear him. But he was saying it anyways as he'd drag the metal cocoon out and to the infirmary. He would need a doctor immediately.
