His only stop had been to change into some training clothes, reluctantly leaving his watch in his room. As much as Aaron respects him, Mr. Amtrum is... a bit of a dick. He'd destroy it just to rub it in Aaron's face, or that's Aaron's guess. Besides, it's a bit of a distraction. He's arrived as early as possible so Mr. Amtrum won't get the drop on him this time, and is waiting in the open after having done a bunch of warmup exercises! He left his watch and phone in the pod when he made that pit stop, so he is only half aware of Mr. Amtrum being possibly late! He does know from hard experience how Mr. Amtrum has his tricks, though. He looks around and listens closely, alert for anything that seems off, any sound of shifting metal, anything that might be a giveaway to Mr. Amtrum's presence. He's seen Mr. Amtrum move through the ground before, so any indications that's happening, any sounds like metal shifting around, any shapes that look like someone hiding in the shadows, any items left lying around that aren't usually in Tutorial. If anything humanoid is hanging around out of sight, the waves of shadows being spread periodically over the floor are meant to snag them or force a reaction.
