His brows furrow in confusion when the room starts to get darker. He didn't know why Aaron was doing something that would alert the guards. It was probably part of Silas' plan though. When the guards turned and spotted him however he'd glow blue and lunge forward with both hands for them. He couldn't dodge bullets so he just had to hope these guns weren't the ones that went through his shield.
So blinded, restrained or not Mike goes for broke and a double energy dump!
Between Savaak and Aaron, the guards are unable to move!
From this distance, Leif isn't able to quite make out that much about the readings. However, they do seem to be increasing, suggesting they might be monitoring the circular pad's energy readings.
Eliott is a little closer to her terminal. She can see that it's measuring power readings of a generator inside the building.
Mike is given a free shot at a double energy dump! However, doing two at once drains him pretty well.
He does it since he doesn't really know who is backing him up or when they will be able to shoot. When they go down he will place his hands on his knees and take a small breather. Admittedly he'd never had to do two at once.
That was close! Aaron's backing Mike up - the point of the darkening was to give Mike some cover right as he was ready to pounce in case the guards looked over, after all. Right now, backing him up means keeping the guards restrained and unable to fire! Once the guards are dumped, Aaron wraps them in shadows and lowers them slowly to the floor, so their falls don't make too much noise.
This could all have been avoided if they'd just walked down the stairs right next to them like he suggested, but hey. He gives Mike a thumbs up, half apology, half 'good job'.
"Sorry, I was trying to watch his back," he says to Silas, though relaxing a little since the hostiles are down - without dying, at that! "We move on downstairs, or see what they were guarding?"

"We're going down, no one who's loud follow too closely. No one do anything unless I tell you to. If we run into trouble, everyone close your eyes as Savaak is to blind the room. During the distraction you'll make as much noise as possible and draw them away from the pad, which I will disable one way or another. If I can get in without alerting anyone, that's what we will do. Understood?"
"Just be as quiet as possible after. Knowing you, you'll gain all their attention that way." Silas starts heading down the stairs, peeking around to see where he's going before running right into anyone or anything.
Aaron is frankly tired of the constant petulance and passive aggressiveness from Silas, but right now is not even remotely the time or the place. Besides, that was a seriously close call. And on some level he knows he's acted exactly the same way towards other people, and regrets it too much to condemn it in somebody else.
He gives another nod, following behind Silas in silence. Even though technically Eliott told him to take point.

Silas and the others heading downstairs see much the same as Leif did earlier, up until the circular pad glows brightly.
After a second, the light dies down, and this man steps off the platform, flanked by six of these figures. The armored men start heading towards the front of the building, where there's a large door to lead outside.
Eliott finds that there's a table with the technician's lunch, two sandwiches and two cans of soda. There's also chairs near the table.
"Fuck...!" Silas stops, putting out a hand as he scopes out the room, looking to see if there was a more secretive route to the panel that controlled this platform, or if the room was pretty open.
