"Sounded that way, from what she was saying." She doesn't look at Evie, just gives a small nod. "Flight, friends, accent you can't fake without sounded ridiculous. You get the idea."
Rebecca nods her agreement, but offers no further opinion. She has none.
In a way, she realizes she's basically passing the new girl off onto Evelyn, but the redhead had just declared it her responsibility to do such things, especially with the Director away, so why not hit two birds with one stone?
"What is England known for? Hmm. Fish and chi-- No, that's food. What else? The Beatles, but most people probably think they're old news by now. What about Big Ben? Maybe there's, like, a snow globe or something!"
"Not particularly." Rebecca scowls, then shakes her head. It's more of a range of expression than Evie's gotten out of her before! Yay!
"She's an entitled little brat who thinks the world revolves around her and her every whim." The scowl fades back to a more typical frown.
"But I think she needs a friend here, or at least someone willing to listen. And you're a friendly sort." Because the idea of Rebecca being able to person is going hilarious.
Well, wow. Evie got her to think for a moment. Rebecca falls silent, but not sullen, then shakes her head after a couple moments.
"I think it's both true and not true to who she is. It's definitely in there - the senseation that how dare you do anything to invade her space. She acts like this place is a personal insult ot her existence, and the people in it." She shrugs.
"Probably, she just doesn't want to be here and is taking it out on us. But you're also assuming I have interest." Because her bringing up a stranger stranger at all makes perfect sense with her lack of interest in the new kid.
"Eh, not really. Younger than me, probably." Meaning young to mid-teen years, if Evie knows anything about her or can gauge such a thing by physical features. She gets props for the sympathy thing though.
The dark haired agent lifts a hand to her upper arm, fingers curling as they reach for fabric that doesn't exist. Instead, her hand cups her arm since the shirt she's wearing has short sleeves. Some habits would probably take forever to break.
