The metallic figure reaches up with its other, free blade and drives it into Matt's stomach! Gun lets loose a yellow blast of doom, but as it strikes the figure dead on, there seems to be little to no effect. True, she saw herself get eaten alive once, but that was like a nightmare that didn't happen, as far as she was willing to believe. This nightmare was real. Regeneration or not, she was caught between reassurance in his survival and the dread that she was witnessing the death of one of her rescuers. Her breath shook. She had to focus.
