It's early evening at Paradigm Academy. Most of the agents are still off fighting the war in Europe, but there's been time for others to come home and see their loved ones.
Overall, it feels like it's been a pretty wonderful day.
Matt pulls his bike into the garage, stowing away his helmet and jacket. With the war ongoing overseas it's been relatively quiet here. To a trainer that would seem like a welcome break, but that was only half of what Matt was.
The other half was a secret to almost everyone else. His second, secret power came with its own backlashes. Without anyone to unleash upon, the tension in him continues to build. He's just praying for release before it implodes on him.
With a sigh Matt closes the garage door, locking it up behind him on the keypad attached.
Fredegund is on her way back to her room from a good day practicing her shooting with Gun. Gun was hanging off her back. She greeted the tree she passed by.
For once, Rebecca had mixed feelings about the quiet. It meant she was in a type of space she enjoyed, but it also meant no updates. So, surprise, she went wandering along ampus to take her mind off of things. She recognized familiar faces, but they were few and far between.
Catching sight of Matt, she waits for him to turn around before casually lifting a hand and letting it drop back at her side in what's probably the friendliest greeting he's gotten from her yet.
"Hi, Fred." Rebecca smiles and waves at the younger agent, taking in Gun when practice is mentioned. Target practice? Talk practice? Eh, didn't matter.
Matt nods and is happy to avoid answering Fred's question as Becca seems to do so. The movement of Enya heading towards them from the gate catches his eye, but he doesn't spare her much more than a glance unless she catches his eye. Then he'd wave or something.
She gives him a smile when she catches the glance, but otherwise seems more preoccupied with struggling with the gate and whatever manner of lock is has.
So she tries to push her herself through the bars.
"Heheh."
Of course now Humvees are showing up so it's kinda awkward.
Alas, Gun's enthusiasm goes unheard. The sound of the gates rattling as Enya pushes herself through does not, however, and Rebecca finds her roomate-friend-again pushing her way through. She goes over to help when there's apparently the sound of vehicles.
"Enya, stop being popular." It's affectionate accusation as well as hope you really don't believe in. She more interested in getting her friend on campus at this point.
Matt cuts himself off as he sees the vehicles. Was there an appointment he forgot about? He tries to think of anything that might have been on Paradigms schedule.
Rebecca would probably love zombies more than what she thinks they have on the truck. Maybe. Not.
"Ooooooooor they could have guns." She starts trying to pull Enya, bounces and all, further back, but can't help looking to see what's coming, herself.
With Becca already in the process of getting her away from there, Enya just follows her lead as she walks backwards. At least until the bullets start flying.
She quickly pulls Becca onto the ground with her, starting to crawl for a bench!
Matt goes down to some yellow beams! Goddamn, do they hurt!
Enya and Rebecca are safe for now, but the sight of this man charging out of the truck and towards the gate suggests that their safety won't last long.
