Either way if there's enough room she'll bring Fred over to the passenger seat and sit there with her. If not she lets Fred sit there while getting into the back of the truck, herself. This wasn't going like he thought it would, he couldn't use the hat one handed and he was already using his power. He may as well go all the way. He'd release Rain's neck as he tried to wrap his legs around his torso, using that and Rain's own grip to keep him where he was as he attempted to reach into another portal to pull out a taser to use on him. With luck it would be enough to make him let go. Unfortunately the downside of using a taser on someone who is touching you is the current will go into your body as well.
