They are directed to a smaller ship where they can get in! Its already programmed to autopilot to their destination, where they see a space ship that seems to be floating in dead space! They are able to board, should they choose!

He'd hold up his hand for Clark to see. Rust perhaps? Though since aliens were apparently real it could be a bodily fluid... or powder. Who knows. Either way.

He'd head deeper in, looking for signs of a struggle or violence. Listening for anything out of the ordinary or a sign of life.

Clarke can easily discern Gil's suspicion. There's a bit of rust, but it looks mostly to be some sort of blood!

Gil can follow the beeping as it gets louder! When he passes a room, to the side, he hears a muffled bang from inside!
