Rebecca lets him swing and steps back, lashing out to grab his shirt or coat sleeve (whichever he's wearing) with her bare hand. She's smiling at him with a mix of delight and repressed hatred at the world. She'd been stoned out of playgrounds, treated like an abomination, bullied and teased and tormented by kids her age. That didn't count the stuff she went through for therapy and everything else.
This guy? This guy was nothing. And she was laughing as she jerked him forward, bringing a knee to his crotch.
"You really should stop," she advises. "Paper isn't the only thing I can destroy."
He takes the hit to the nuts and throws his face forward for a headbutt! No regard for the rotting thing she does, since he usually gets up from whatever is thrown at him.
"Yeah well I can destroy you like I did Blue Balls!"
The headbutt lands! Grunting, Rebecca's grip loosens on his clothing as she goes backward with him. She reaches out and grabs onto him in any way she can to keep from going down and keeping herself where she needs to be.
For Rebecca, this was unexpected. She squirms, clawing at his face and grabbing at his ear to hold as firmly as she can to it. Unfortunately, he's also exposing himself to more bare flesh because her clothes are twisted up from the fighting!
So! Rebecca is thrown, though her nails dig into Arman's ear as she's thrown, hitting the nearby poster display! The good news is his face only has a large swathe of sores from her touch, and his ear is a bit worse off. He won't loose anything, but he won't be pretty until he gets them taken care of, either.
She hits the display, then the ground, missing the recycling bin, and again her hands dig in, this time letting a large fistful of dirt remain in her bare hand and begin to rot. She pushes herself to her feet, but doesn't rush Arman again. Instead, she's hanging back and trying to figure out where the sudden surge of strength came from.
((Sorry, I originally misread your post and wanted to ask a GM about materials around us. Turns out it's not needed.))
Rebecca was tougher than Silas thought. He pulls up his holo-computer and begins taking vital readings on both Rebecca and Arman to see how they were doing physically!
Arman's face looks fucked up, but he doesn't feel a thing at this point. The rotting enhanced his strength and durability at a higher rate than most things do!
Silas can see Arman is growing in muscle mass and his face and ear are making attempts to repair themselves. It's a slow process, but it's there.
"You think it was worth it?" He asks as he kicks the recycling bin down at her.
Rebecca's up, but not for much longer. Silas doesn't need the monitor to see that. It will definitely show an increased heart rate. Physically, anyone can see she's dizzy, and her gaze is unfocused, but it still appears to be zeroed in on Arman as much as is possible. She's breathing heavily, still trying to catch her momentum after the crash landing. It's safe to assume she has a concussion after being thrown by Paradigm's resident Saiyan.
She's still going, though. Right up until it hits her that she just used her powers on a fellow agent. Bile surges in her throat, but she swallows it down after stifling her gagging. if Arman's moving, then she needs to do the same or be worse off than she is, and that's enough to keep her going for now.
She doesn't seem that away of her own physical health yet. Not until she stumbles as the recycling bin hits her. Her reflexes are slower than normal, nevermind that Arman is growing in size with each passing moment, and it hits her in the side and left leg, sending her down to the ground. No running from that one - she couldn’t.
It might have been different if she'd known what his abilities were. As it was, playing at a distance wasn't an option. His question invokes another laugh, harsher this time.
“I could ask you the same thing. Was it worth drawing attention to yourself for the sake of some ruined posters?”
Rebecca flings the large handful of now reeking mud at Arman's eyes as he approaches, but takes the punch with a pained grunt. She can hear the bones popping if she misses and he lands the punch anyway, and decides she doesn't want to know what broke.
Silas throws a yellow disc at the side of Arman's face! It wouldn't hurt him, especially in his stronger state! It does, however, explode in a fog of smoke!
In the confusion and blindness, Silas would swiftly grab Rebecca by the arm and take her around the corner!
Arman swings as he's struck, flailing wildly in the fog! He can't see a thing, so he just assumes he's continuing to beat up Rebecca! He's only really punching the ground, though.
Silas and Rebecca would be off before he even noticed they left!
She hadn't been at a good angle to see Silas throw the disk, so the explosion of smoke around Armand's face is definitely a surprise to her. Even more so is the fact that, as she works to get herself back on her feet and escape while she can, it's Silas who's got a hold of her arm and is helping her retreat!
This is the apocalypse, right? Or at least a Tuesday.
"Thanks," she manages quietly after a short while. She can still hear Arman slamming his fists into the ground, but she doesn't want to draw any more attention to their momentary safe spot than what she'd just done with the word.
"Yes." There's really no point in beating around the bush, and shorter answers are better. She nods for a moment and closes her eyes, pressing her palms to her eyes as she tries to take a deep breath and winces.
