They were trading insults less than an hour ago, even though it was in good faith and humor. And now this. And Arman. Oh, she did not like that man at all.
But this was new, too.
"That's good." She smiles a little. "I'm glad to hear it." She almost asks for the girl's name, almost. But she can sense his reluctance, similar to her own lack of willingness to talk about her own family and past. Difference was, Silas already knew a bunch of it.
"Still don't like it. We're all supposed to be on the same side, here."
Says the guy who's been in a couple on-campus scraps himself. Martin steps back to watch with Jack! He'll only intervene with his TK to prevent collateral damage.
Arman does still tackle Mike to the floor! The energy makes him squirm for a bit in pain - the fact that he can still feel it surprising him. Still, he gets more durable the more it's dished out, and he attempts to slam a heavy fist into Mike's face barrier over and over before the damage gets too serious.
He hits the concrete hard with a crash. Arman's meaty fist would find now resistance in it's course to hit Mike's face. Mike had a different tactic and would try and grab Arman's head with both of his hands. Channeling energy inside of him.
"That all you got Roid Rage?"
He said through gritted teeth. Arman would find that after a few blows there were a few cracks in his shield!
The more energy pumps into Arman, the harder it is for him to focus on anything! However, his punches also get much, much harder, and he continues trying to tear through that shield, some punches missing and smashing through the concrete with vicious force. He's out for blood, and if it wasn't obvious before, it should be now.
"That tends to happen with most people," Rebecca muses with a nod. She's glad to be done with the bandages and, once Silas steps back, adjusts her shirt to its proper place.
Mike growls with effort as his fingers dig into Arman's face pushing as much energy as he could right into his head. This however did mean that he couldn't focus on his shielding as much. He still had a lot to learn! Each missed blow was a moment or reprieve and free damage for Mike to inflict on Arman. But each blow that landed was progressively more and more effective as he got stronger and stronger.
The strikes are fewer and farther between, because Arman can see nothing but a blue outline where Mike is supposed to be, but they are significantly harder than probably anything Mike has felt Arman dish out before. He can't feel anything at this point, including the ground as he misses his punches or Mike as he strikes the kid.
His shields were cracking to the point that Mike could barely see. The only thing keeping it up was that the aura had vanished around his body except for his head, which is thankfully the only place Arman was trying to hit. Or he'd be in trouble.
His hands would slide over his face toward his eyes.
"FUCK! YOU!"
He yelled out with no small effort as he struggled to keep the shield up as he sent another blast into his face. Giving it everything he had without breaking the shield. But if this didn't take Arman down he was finished.
"I should be o....kay..." Standing up decided otherwise, and she grimaced, keeping to his advice when she discovered how far counted as breathing too deeply. She was still dizzy and nauseated, even without thinking about what she'd done to Arman's face. Not that he hadn't deserved it, but her methods weren't the approved kind.
"...Maybe." She really hated to admit it, but she was also not feeling so great, and there was no one else around unless they found someone in the hall.
Mike would feel one final, colossal fist slam upon his shield, before the blast completely overloaded Arman's already faltering senses from what had happened previously. He could no longer see, nor feel, and after that heavy strike, his body would collapse upon Mike's.
Mike would cough as his shield faded away and Arman collapsed on him. Sweat was oozing from every pore. But he was still up woozy and exhausted. But still up. That was what mattered.
"Fine. Come on." He opens the door and peeks outside. He doesn't see anyone, but hears a commotion right around the corner. He opts to lead them the other direction.
