As the smoke clears he'd see a blue aura just beyond the smoke. Mike holding one of the posters that had been hung up around the school. His fist clenching and crumpling the poster before he tossed it to the side.
Rebecca blinks, watching him go to the desk with mild curiosity. It was an interesting question.
"Why not?" For whatever reason, even though there were times she hated him, there were other times where you could almost say that got along. Plus, he was human, and not in the meta versus non-meta sense.
"You seemed unaware that I'd be willing to do something for someone I care about when we talked earlier." She flexes her fingers and looks at her hands, slipping the right arm up into her sleeve and balling her fist around the edge of the fabric from within. Viola, makeshift cover.
"Besides, you're a person." She pauses, then adds more quietly. "Sometimes, I hear my own thoughts in what you say."
"Stand down dude. You don't get it. You can stop this fight, but it's going to happen. And until it is settled he is going to keep hurting people. It's personal."
Rebecca does as he asks, painfully aware of how close that means Silas is going to have to get. She's only now learning that it's okay to relax a bit about it without being senseless. A touch wont' kill, but she's operated so long on people's assumptions and accusations that it will that she just automatically responds that way.
He begins wrapping her ribs! He's as aware as keeping his spaces from her as she is, but his face continues to stay no more than a few inches from her as he wraps her.
"But you quickly changed that here." It's not really a question, but it's left open like one.
"A bit against my will," she agrees wryly, a faint sound of discomfort muffled behind closed lips as he first starts on wrapping up her ribs.
"I didn't expect to. People here...don't care. They understand." She closes her eyes for half a second, then opens them again. "I have a small handful friends, and that's more than I could have ever hoped for. I've gone most of my life without much of anything, except my dad. He showed me things I couldn't learn on my own." She waits for him to come back around, a bit awkward now with the turn of conversation as much as Silas being so close.
Martin keeps holding him! The ideal endgame is Arman either tires himself out or realises he's making an idiot of himself and stops, but that's sounding like it might not happen. He flips Arman upside down, so he'll get dizzy from the blood rushing to his head!
"Why is he after you, then?"
Martin is able to figure things out from context, with what Mike is saying!
Based on eye contact on and off as he wraps, he appears to be listening in the absence of verbal responses. When she turns it back to him, Silas pointedly keeps looking at the wrap and not her face.
Martin was about to make Arman take a nap, and the agent might have felt the arteries in his neck start to pinch shut, when Jack appeared! He doesn't think it's a good idea at all, but after a look at Jack, he steps aside and lowers Arman.
"I'll let this go ahead, but this had better be the last time this happens."
She doesn't get the impression he's ignoring her, or he wouldn't keep questions coming that caused her to talk and think. She doesn't know if it's going to get her a response, but she'll try again anyway.
"Do you not have anyone you care about enough defend? Beyond mission requirements?" She watching him carefully, her voice quiet.
Arman lands on his head, and falls to the floor! He lays there for a moment, fuming, and without warning he lunges at Mike, cracking the ground and ripping up debris as he flies forward! He's looking to tackle the kid into the ground and beat him to a pulp!
Jack pats his shoulder lightly before stepping back a little, giving the boys room.
"Sometimes it's better to let the aggression out. I'd much prefer that they do it here where we can supervise, than out on the field where no one can step in if it goes too far."
