"If you want it to be less disorienting, yes." Freya says.
If Rebecca doesn't close her eyes in the next few seconds, she'll feel a strange rush in her mind before suddenly realizing she's in the basement. Like being violently awoken from a dream.
If she does it's more like blinking and being somewhere else, again.
"You're lucky I'm here, you couldn't ask for a more effective teacher." Freya smiles to herself.
It's a once in a lifetime chance, even if it's a dumb one. The sensation of coming to a complete stop while still running makes it difficult to focus, but the other girl's voice is as much a ciolent shock as the new experience. Of course Freya congratulates herself on enjoying the prospect of causing her further pain.
Then again, it was an effective motivator. Rebecca decides not to acknowledge that part.
"Thank you," she nods, "both of you." She looked around the basement, wondering if she understood Destiny's words. She imagined being inside a mind was more open and fluid than this place.
Her focus returns to Freya. "So what do I owe you?" Was it really only a few hours? It didn't feel that way at all. Mostly.
"There's nothing you can offer me right now, let's settle for: 'a favour for a favour'. If I ever need your help I expect you'll be willing to assist me in the future."
This is exactly why she didn't want to leave it up to Freya to decide for something later; now her hands might be bound. Or were, and denying the favor would just make everything so much worse.
Yay life decisions.
"Then it will be decided in the future." She nods anyway and rises, looking to return the chair.
