"I haven't really found a place," she admits with a small frown. She shakes her head, reminding herself this is a date as the expression fades.
"I've had success with the roof more than anything else. Campus itself is pretty open, and the late night places are usually occupied. Library, gym, you name it. Probably the only place I haven't gone is Tutorial." She's not doing that, either.
"I'm never going to be able to get that image out of my head," she manages after a moment, tears in her eyes. She swallows some of the water form one of the bottles from the basket.
"That's hilarious, but no. I think, if you're brave enough to find where he sleeps and ask him, you get what you deserve."
"So I have an idea. Let's not talk about scary and creepy people, and instead talk about fun stuff. What's your favorite holiday? April Fools?" He'd wink. "Cause you are clearly such a prankster."
"Well, you already told me not to get you stuff for Christmas, and that's also a huge holiday. So free stuff, but something about it just doesn't fit. Same for Thanksgiving - all the drama." She chuckles.
"Religious holiays don't suit, and I don't think you've had enough alcohol to embrace how America does St. Patrick's day. So I'd say the new year with people you care about, a fresh start and celebration."
"Not to mention all the cooking out." She nods with a thoughtful hum, tapping a finger against her jaw.
"Honestly, I don't know why I didn't think of it. It just doesn't feel like it fits for you." It hadn't even crossed her mind out of potential holidays.
"It's just a stupid superstition my parents taught me."
He might have been blushing a little bit but it was hard to tell in the dark.
"I just like to think that the people you spend the countdown with are meant to be the people you spend the next year of your life with. So it's always been a bit of a big deal to me."
