Late at night and storming out of the Pod. He couldn't believe Enya was letting Silas of all people in to her room and just pawing all over her. Worse than that though was treating like he was coming in from the window as a loophole to the ban! He had thought they were all on board with Silas not being allowed in there considering the shit he pulled. Especially after he went violent and nearly killed another one of the agents. It was all probably just a ploy of Silas' to get under his skin, and it worked. Fuck him.
"Ugh!"
Eric exclaimed and shoved his hands into his pockets, kicking a rock to the side violently. Totally ruined his night.
Rebecca follows along in pensive silence, resisting the urge to bite the inside of her cheek, albeit barely. She can feel the anger rolling off of Eric like ocean waves, and the tension is shared between them. So's the anger, but she doesn't want to dwell on that now. She's gone past the explosive rage for now and into whatever comes after for her.
He'd make a portal to put them on the other side of the gate if they walked through so they were off Paradigm property. If only just. Once outside he'd open up another portal and start pulling out glasses and china. And he would hurl them on the ground violently! The glass shattering upon impact.
Rebecca's still following, not really seeing the problem with what he's doing when he brings out a bunch of glasses and china.
She joins him, picking up a bowl and chucking it to the ground. It makes a pleasant sound that sets her nerves on edge and yet somehow still feels good, even without imagining anyone's face on it. It's even better than the cemetery therapy Enya took her out on.
The next piece is thrown with much more force at that thought.
He smashes another glass on the ground! He was huffing and puffing but feeling a little better as he looked around at the broken glass that was shattered all around them.
"Because... They'd say it was not a healthy and productive way to confront my feelings..."
Rebecca stares at him for a moment, then at the broken bits of glass and china, finally letting her gaze rest on the plate in her hand before chucking it to the ground with a shrug.
"Got another one?" Might as well help clean up the mess, right?
"Maybe later, but definitely not now." She frowns. "Too soon." The worst part is that she's more mad at Enya than Silas, for the reasons mentioned in Eric's post.
"I want to." She takes the other broom and dustpan and starts cleaning up the mess along with Eric! Yay bonding.
"So, I don't know about you, but I'm not going back there for the rest of the night. Got anything you feel like doing now that we've done the busted china dance?" She's trying, but boy is it falling flat.
"Same." She nods and sighs, kicking at the now clean ground. The words are so close to coming out. So, so close.
"I talked with Enya and apologized a while ago. You know what she told me? That being a friend requires her being interested. Which she wasn't because of Silas. And now this." She waves a hand towards the pod building's general direction.
She doesn't comment on his silence. She figures it's just part of the issue at hand and he's letting her speak. She's not sure how much more she wants to.
She lets out a sharp bark of laughter. Apparently she had been, though maybe not in the way Eric meant.
"We ran into each other a couple of times. Once, he warned me about my dad being at one of the anti-metal rallies. Not the Warrens one, but apparently he made it out scotch-free since I never heard anything from him or the hospital." She shakes her head. This is painful and awkard.
"After Mike blew up, twice. Once to tell me about someone dying." Her voice softened for a moment as she thinks of Destiny rather than the boy who played messenger for her. She barely knew the woman, but he'd thought to tell her anyway. Maybe if she were in a better mood, she'd argue that his doing so meant something.
"If he hadn't, I don't know how long it would be before I found out. I might still be oblivious now." She shrugs and sighs, running a hand through her hair.
"Last night, he felt inclined to be mad at me for the date you and I went on." She shrugs. "I told him it's none of his business. Not like we've been dating or anything, though if he tries blowing you up, I'll send him to the infirmary myself." Scowls galore!
